  1. I am so torn on what I think we should do with this pick(s). If you go back just one year further to 2014 you have, probably the best WR draft ever. We moved up in that draft to get Watkins and it didn't really pan out for us. That draft had Evans, OBJ, Watkins, Adams, Landry, Cooks, Benjamin, Robinson amongst others. So do we package a ton of picks to move up to get 1 guy who we really like or try to maneuver to pick up a few of these highly touted WRs? ...in Beane I trust, I guess.
  2. One of the toughest things for successful teams in sports to do is to move a declining player early, rather than late. Hopefully that is what we did here. His numbers down the stretch would imply as much. I really hate that we moved him within the conference. I would have much rather seen him in the NFC. The Cap hit this year is significant but it looks like it frees up a lot moving forward. Time for Kincaid and Shakir to step up. This year's Draft just got a helluva lot more important, and it was already shaping up to be crucial. In Beane I still trust.
  3. Sign a bunch of the free agent Tight Ends again Now that the "greatest GM of all time" is gone, they will likely do something more logical.
  4. McDermott is a great leader of men and head coach. Beane is a top 5 GM in the league. Each post-season, it just comes down to health and a few bounces to determine who wins it all. And lastly, Our time will come.
  5. The Patriots are Boston's team and I want all things Boston to lose always, all of the time, forever until I die. The Chiefs are more of a respect thing that, when we do finally overcome them, is going to feel so great and our Super Bowl that year will be that much sweeter.
  6. I played High School basketball and we would practice at the same time that wrestling practice was going on. I used to be amazed at the amount of cardio that they would do. All of the running and jump roping, etc. It seemed endless. We did have a phenomenal wrestling program though. Basketball? Not so much... lol ~Niagara Wheatfield
  7. Exclusively play Bon Jovi... go the entirely opposite direction
  8. The Shout song and 7 nation army are not comparable. One was a version of a song custom made specifically for the Bills that we have been using for decades, the other is a song used by sporting venues all over. I don't personally have any issue with the song, it just seems really played out and generic. On the contrary, when you hear that "Aye aye aye aye" you know it is for the Bills. Doesn't matter where you are. Any Bills fan's ears are going to pick that up and echo it back. Oregon does play the original Isley Brothers version of the "Shout" song during their games but it isn't tailored specifically for them. Some quick hitters that come to mind (that I am sure everyone will be in universal agreement, likely unanimously praise me and not criticize my ideas at all) are something like: Highway Song by Greta Van Fleet Hysteria by Muse The intro of Power by Kanye People keep mentioning the Goo Goo Dolls for the regional connection but you could also potentially find something from Rush or The Hip that would be relatively regional. Just my 2 cents. .... Hooray for off-season threads
  9. Highmark Stadium is notoriously a below standard away locker room. Funny enough, Arrowhead's away locker room is supposed to be even worse, probably the worst in the league. This is what I read and heard former players say anyways.
  10. With no disrespect meant for Spencer Brown, there aren't too many people on the planet that can "handle" Parsons. ... Just like there aren't too many defenses that can handle Josh. Play makers will make plays on both sides of the ball.
  11. Took a few minutes to browse some of the cowboys forums. They are some of the most uninformed, just regurgitating the same old national narrative about our Bills, fans I have seen all year. "Josh can only beat us with his legs" "He is inaccurate" "Our defense cannot pressure without blitzing" "We have no running game" "We are a mid-team in the AFC" "Get a lead early and we will crumble" You can just sense that they only watch Skip Bayless and their own team and have no real knowledge of the rest of the NFL outside of Dallas. Reality wears #17 and he's about to slap them in the face.
  12. I am stationed over in japan and have been using DAZN all season with no issues. I also watched games this season in S. Korea and The Philippines, all from my laptop. I also typically re-watch most games, being the masochist that I am and I have had no issues getting the full game replays to play. I am curious why my experience with DAZN has been so different from that of others?
  13. It may not be over but it is pretty close. That being said, and in the spirit of keeping hope alive, there are reasons to be optimistic. The way we have played, offensively, the past few weeks will give us a strong chance to beat anyone in the league. We boat raced one of the best defenses in the league and then pushed the best team in the league to the limit, on the road, with numerous, somewhat fluky things working against us. If we can come out of the bye and keep this level of offensive performance up, we have a decent shot of winning out. For the sake of the argument, we go into KC and win. We have done that in the past against better KC teams than this year's. Then we come home to play Dallas and win. We have played well at home all year. Now we are on a nice two game winning streak and the narrative starts to change. We head out West and put the Chargers out of their misery. Come home for the revenge game against, who-the-hell-knows at QB Patriots. Josh beats Miami the way he usually does and we are the hottest team going into the playoffs that no one wants to play. The eternal optimist that I am is trying to still see the light but it has dimmed significantly.
  14. There have been games where it seems he was forcing it to Diggs, last night didn't seem to be one of those games. Diggs was open. If he is open then I would expect Josh to throw it to him. Also, despite the idea that he only throws to Diggs, Diggs didn't have either of the TDs. Perhaps he had 16 targets because he was cooking whoever was covering him? Like Kohou's little brother or something. The all-22 will tell the tale.
  15. He had a rough night. Hopefully he doesn't have another one.
  16. Thank goodness you're here to set the record straight.
  17. My thoughts: Defense is continuing to play phenomenally despite being down 3 all-pros. The pass rush disappeared towards the middle of the game but it was felt late. I see the phrase “shotgun drunk” used occasionally here and I couldn’t help but think about that throughout the first half. We just seem so much more functional under center. Take those shotgun draws and shoot them to the moon. Taylor reminded me of what it is like having him as your teams QB. A lot of field goals and not really willing to make a tough throw. Josh’s TD to Morris is the example that Taylor would never even consider attempting. Through the highs and lows, I’ll take the risk taker. We definitely got a few calls in this game. So this is what it is like to be on the other side of that coin. Bass… I still love you but you get paid to do one thing… Do it. Thoughts go out to Harris and his friends and family. I hope everything ends up being ok. Go Bills
  18. Take the W and move on to the next. A knock on the narrative that we can't win close ugly games.
  19. Ok.. I will theoretically play this "fire McD" game.... So we fire him. Who do we hire? If they are better than McDermott than why aren't they already coaching in the NFL? Is there some prodigy college coach that is desperate to come to Buffalo? Or do we get back into the re-tread game and bring in some tired, repeat offender head coach that already washed out at another franchise? Do we promote Ken Dorsey? What would be the plan moving forward? Or is this just a "FirE EveRyONe CuZ I'M mAd" thread? ... firing McDermott would be one of the worst moves in franchise history and immediately set us back. He is one of the best 5 coaches in the game.
  20. I was going to come in here and chime in with my thoughts but then I read your post and it pretty much summed it all up. Well said.
  21. I am reading a lot of people talking about the Jaguars like they are some trash team from 3 years ago. That team won their division and a playoff game last year. They are likely going to run away with the South again this year. I am not trying to say they are juggernauts or anything but at the end of the season, I don't think that this loss will look as atrocious as some of you are taking it, injuries aside. We played poorly with a decimated defense and still had the ball down 1 score at the end. The sun will rise again tomorrow everyone. Preferably on US EST for our Bills.
  22. My thoughts: 1. If the NFL is going to have games in different continents, they should ensure both teams have the same opportunity for travel. Today was absurd. 2. Absolutely deflating watching player after player go down on Defense. Fingers crossed while we wait for updates. 3. Elam was consistently targeted and I think that we now know why he has been scratched the previous weeks. 4. Despite our D being incredibly shorthanded, they really balled out for most of the game. The repeated 3rd down conversions were back breakers. 5. I really think that the key point of this game was the Gabe Davis drop. We were driving and could've potentially taken the lead on that drive. Ifs, ands, and buts... i know. 6. The crowd did everything they could to give the team life. It just wasn't our day. 7. Go Bills.
  23. I left the 716 area in 2004 when I joined the Navy and since then I have been back numerous times with friends of mine in the service. These people are from all over the country and each of them have had nothing but wonderful things to say about the people here and their experience. One of my friends wasn't much of a pro football guy. He is from Roanoke, Virginia and is pretty much exclusively a VA Tech fan. I brought him to the Texans game a few years ago, he got to tailgate and now he is hooked. Same thing for another friend of mine who is from Jersey and is a Jets fan. He always (in good fun) poked fun at Bills fans and the area. I brought him to a game, he got to tailgate and hang out, get some local food. He said it was the best sporting experience he had ever had. That's just two of my examples. There are many more. We can be incredibly provincial, but I do love where I am from. The people are a big part of that.
