Whomever the Titans cut.

Kern as a vested veteran will not be subject to waivers, and can sign with whoever he chooses.Ā  Hometown boy with a shot at a ring.Ā  Kern's dad was a standout soccer goalkeeper at Buffalo State where he played on the same team as Randy Smith.

Yes, and Tennessee would add about $1,500,000 to their available cap by going with back-up punter

I will be honest...I don't really care. Matt was exciting because he could do stuff other punters could not. Ā Remove him, and well, I don't really care because any punter we bring in likely won't be any worse than Haack was last year. Ā

Ā

So it Matt is cut, and that looks probable at this point, then I am going to back to not really caring who the punter is, just as long as it wasn't Haack, who sucks. Ā Although, I reserve the right to yell "We need to draft a punter" when that inevitable first shank comes thoughĀ šŸ˜‚

First, I believe that Azaria will be released, as early as today. I agree with that decision, and all that discussion is in his thread.

Ā

I predict that we will sign Brett Kern from Tennessee,Ā  who is likely to be cut on Tuesday.Ā  3 time PB, having a great camp and still has a lively leg. Averaging 49yds in camp. He's also a home boy, Grand Isle native. And the best part is he's a coffin corner, pin em deep punter. That's perfect for us, with our O its not too often we will be putting from deep in our territory.Ā  Keep an eye out for this.Ā

Itā€™s awesome to know we have click bait posters hereĀ

Charges/allegations are not convictions.Ā  AKA Duke lacrosse team.Ā  Let the process play out

Final roster not even selected yet. They can cut whomever they please... for farting on the team plane if they wish. What's the upside of keeping him?? Just bring in someone else now, lick wounds from wasted draft pick, and move on. This is a perfect opportunity to reinforce culture / process... and to not be the Browns

Really?? So a discussion of a realistic scenario for the team is " click bait"? Sit down..

Was he released when you made this? Ā No, so your wrote a title that inferred something that hasnā€™t happened yet, or not based on fact. Ā

Trade a late pick to Carolina for Hekker

Ā

That's the problem with kickers, teams usually only have one so not likely to trade them.Ā  Maybe if the Bills had still had Haack, could have traded him and maybe a 5th to Carolina would have worked.Ā  But not now as would leave Carolina with no one.Ā  Whenever one gets hurt, teams are scrambling.

Cut MA and tell him if he is cleared of charges, they will re-sign him.

Use his spot to move a guy to IR.Ā  Bring in punters for tryouts and claim 1 off waivers at cutdown if need be.

Bring another in on the PS and find out who starts week one.

Ā

It's all sad but it is just a punter.Ā  They can survive this.

this is a civil thing and if anything the NFL is very very slow. Our current punter will not face NFL punishment at all most likely until 2023Ā

Our current punter wonā€™t face any NFL punishment since the incident occurred before he turned pro.

Yeah I wondered how the league does that. Because with Blackmon for example back in the day they used his college issues as well.Ā

You must be kidding, Iā€™m a person who does not take drastic action based on an accusation, however if any validity to this accusation I donā€™t want this guy on my roster.

Ā

Character matters, if you dont believe that go take your thoughts to a teams message board like Cleveland or Miami where slime and criminal behavior is endorsed and encouraged.

May not be NFL punishment, but when he is cut later today and not signed by any other team it will be just the same

Ā

Give Cleveland a 7th for Corey now and be done with this nightmare

Everybody who is saying cut MA, And if heā€™s cleared then re-sign him,..

Ā

But it doesnā€™t work like that

Ā

If they cut him heā€™s gone foreverā€¦ They either believe hes innocent and keep him or cut him

Gone forever sounds good to me

Oh please, pretty sure fans on this board understood it was a post looking at the possibilities if he is released which is very likely. It's called conjecture. But YOU don't engage in that in your Monday post game mini novel right? Nahhhh. Ok, back to your music lyrics now....

Marv (zero hang time) Bateman:

Buffalo BillsEdit

On November 13,Ā 1974, theĀ Buffalo BillsĀ signed him as aĀ free agentĀ to replaceĀ Spike Jones.[6]Ā He led theĀ NFLĀ two years in a row in net yardsĀ per punt.Ā

InĀ 1976, he led the NFL in punting average (42.8 yards), but his net average was only 28.7 yards, although he had a 78-yard punt, which still stands as the longestĀ puntĀ in team history. On August 24,Ā 1978, he was released after being passed on the depth chart byĀ Rusty Jackson.[7]
