That was a good defense, not sure if he meshes with McDermott, who will find the right guy.

Eric Washington is on the staff now and has some experience at DC.  John Butler has done a nice job with the DBs but does not have DC experience. McDermott has history with Mike Caldwell who is currently with the Buccaneers. If they went outside the current organization I'd guess Caldwell but I will bet they stay in-house and go with Butler or Washington.

I don't think McDermott would change the defense that much.

Probably not, but I LOVED watching that defense. I think he ran a lot of wide 9 which I believe requires some pure speed pass rushers, don't know if we would have the guys to do that, but man, we got after the QB with Schwartz.

This is probably more likely.

I agree completely. I really thought that was a great defense. I just think it is quite a different scheme from Sean McDermott's. Leslie basically runs McDermott's defense, so I'm sure McDermott would bring in someone, or promote someone from within, to do the same thing.

Frazier is exactly the type of HC the Raiders may need after the season they just had regarding drama. Leslie will bring stability and accountability. Not to mention I doubt anyone will be digging up salacious emails from him.
I hope he gets the job, the man deserves it.

It was interesting that neither Frazier or Dabol were on the Jags list of interviewees but previously fired Nate “Can’t “ Hackett was.

I guess Frazier and Daboll don't have the same "high standards and qualities " that Urban Meyer had!

Very strange it seems we’ve been gashed all year on D. Yet, we are closing in on #1 overall for the year with zero pro bowlers. Not top 5. Number 1.  That should be enough to get Frazier a HC job if we don’t go out getting totally gashed in the playoffs.

Can you remember more than 5 plays that gashed us on defense? I'm sitting here and can think of 3. I'm probably forgetting some. Antonio Gibson, Derrick Henry, and Damien Harris.

Good for Frazier.  He's earned a 2nd act as an HC...

But dear lord why work for gong show like the Raiders? Batshit crazy ownership in a division with a Murderers Row of opposition QBs?

Wait for Matt Nagy to get the axe and take the Bears job. Seems like a good fit, AND we get to send him to the NFC!

I think Frazier and Daboll are as good as gone. Daboll is going to end up in Jacksonville I believe.

This may happen, but I’m not sure their fans would love it. Might be a tough sell after his offense marched in to Jacksonville and put up 6 points against them earlier this year. Not impossible, but I’d bet that’s not doing him any favors getting a shot at that job.

Hackett can bring in St Doug as his OC - getting the gang back together!

Some of these dumpster fire organizations.  Jacksonville the NYG would be wise to go with Frazier or Caldwell.  In Minnesota Frazier won with Traveris Jackson at Qb.  His record was reflective of the the quarterbacks he had imo.
