SageAgainstTheMachine
There's an incredible buy-in from every single man on this team. Our SB window started late last season and goes for whatever length of time we have McD, Allen and Beane. Apocalypse Nuts
And the King of the gamesmanship timeouts. So good at calling one in big moments on D so the other offense has to then bring out their second best play if you know I mean. He did it tonight and I could see the look on Mahomes’ face because he knew exactly what happened.

With the Bills up early, but the team committing stupid penalties and getting into shoving matches and such, I texted a friend, McD needs to get this team calmed down and focused. They were over-hyped. He seemed to do that in spades. I thought it was, overall, a masterful coaching effort by all involved.
Malazan
He's really grown as a coach too. He is no longer conservative, relies on analytics, has changed his own attitude (he said he had to loosen up). I think the big thing I'm seeing this year is a killer instinct. I feel like he's put an edge on this team now. That defense isn't just good, but they have some real nastiness to them. Then the game ends and their like, "On to next week". 2 4

billsfan89
I think it was super fortunate that no major coaches/coordinators were poached from the Bills. Having Daboll and all the major components of the staff back for another season has created a rare sense of continuity that just doesn't exist in the modern NFL. McD and this team are definitely running on all cylinders. The team is coming off its fourth straight 3 possession win and this time it comes against a good team on the road. I know Chris Jones being out puts a damper on it a bit but hey everyone has people missing. You had a fluky delay and you still didn't let anything fluky happen.

Malazan
One other thing, McDermott and Frazier are brilliant. The Bills didn't blitz Mahomes once this game. They took the '2 deep' strategy that everyone has been talking about against Mahomes and improved it. They always seem to manage to find a defensive gameplan that works. KC rans almost 80 plays. I know it's crazy, but I think they almost tried a 'reverse' ball control strategy. Make KC's offense stay on the field as long as possible before they score instead of trying to have their offense stay on the field.

BADOLBILZ
He's definitely been steadily upping his game. Wasn't that long ago that all-around bad 3rd quarters were a regular thing........tonight they endured an hour break in a hot, sh*tty locker room on the road and they didn't come undone. Stacking positives is great to see. 5
BigDingus
As much as the players have improved, so has McDermott. Seriously, he hasn't just been the same guy since day one. The man is getting better each year. Remember when we kept failing to adjust after half & would blow leads/do nothing at all in the 3rd quarter? It was like we prepared for the first half of football, then took a nap at half time. We ended up in close games that we were otherwise winning, relying on last minute 4th quarter pushes to finally do something. Now the Bills are also making those adjustments & maintaining their leads, putting up even more points in the 2nd half & not taking their foot off the gas. McDermott has the team prepared & invested. Beautiful thing to watch! Oh, and let's not forget how good Daboll & Frazier have been either. They too have a huge hand in how well this team is operating at the moment. 3

FilthyBeast
It's hard to criticize anything about this coaching staff right now and it's not crazy to say McD might be the best coach in the NFL right now, top 3 at worse. Going to be interesting to see how he responds next year because regardless of how this season ends for this team, it's probably safe to safe both Frazier and Daboll will be gone next year as HC's for another team. Great points. I would be very confident that McD, Beane, and their teams are fully anticipating losing their top assistants sooner rather than later. Something tells me they have their eyes down the road and won't be caught off-guard by anyone leaving. Geez, it's just unbelievable how different feeling this current regime has us all feeling right now. So much dysfunction at One Bills Drive for decades, and now this?
