BuffaloBills1998
Just now, Canadian Bills Fan said: Lmao 1st round? I don’t think anyone’s going to trade a 1st rounder for Jimmy, maybe a late second or mid 3rd but a 1st is way too much
Fan in Chicago
Maybe worth a 1st rounder in 2023 if he starts and finishes more than 20 games in the next two seasons

Royale with Cheese
Jimmy G is better than Cam and would give them more offense. 4 2 1

Doc Brown
Maybe a 2nd if they're lucky as he's still 29 and a desperate team may pick up the phone (BEARS). He is only one 29 and one blown double digit 4th quarter lead away from three Super Bowl wins.
NewEra
Not sure why anyone would trade a 1st rd pick for the 2021 version of chris Chandler.
fergie's ire
Seems greedy. Only gave a second rounder to get him, and I don't think his value has appreciated.
BillsDude
Beggars can't be choosers. They'll take the first offer, as they know it could be the only offer. So, do not be surprised if BB offers a bag of beans, and they accept it.
Logic
The “will” in this post title is pretty misleading. It would be like me saying I will marry Beyoncé. 4 3

davefan66
Asking that tells me they have no problem straight up cutting him. Seems Lynch took a couple hits to the noggin too much.
Devilmann
With that salary and garbage play that’s a hard pass but I’m sure someone will do it in a desperate attempt to save their job.

Rochesterfan
Makes sense - always start high and ask for more than you can get. I can’t imagine they will get it, but makes sense. When NE doesn’t get a QB maybe you can get something of value for him. Plus they need to recoup for moving up to 3.
Doc
Good. Hold onto him.
Ya Digg?
There’s really no downside for the 49ers here...they most likely keep Jimmy G with that salary for 1 more year-he starts the year then eventually gets benched for the rookie then they release him after the season, or they somehow finagle him into a first or second round pick 1
TheyCallMeAndy
So 9ers aren’t trading Jimmy G lol
H2o
They will end up taking less. A 2nd if they're lucky and a possible conditional late round pick.

mannc
And Buffalo will trade Mitch Trubisky for a first round pick.
Mikie2times
I don’t think he’s worth a 1st but he would be an improvement on 50% of the teams. Wasn’t far from a Super Bowl a few years ago, even if It was more of a defensive team.
mannc
They probably should have traded Jimmy G before they traded up to the 3d overall pick. Now everyone knows they pretty much need to unload Garappolo.

mjt328
The Chiefs kept Alex Smith after drafting Patrick Mahomes. Smith responded with a career year, and it gave Mahomes the time needed to develop on the sidelines. Green Bay did the same thing (twice) with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, and then got an MVP-caliber year out of Rodgers after taking Jordan Love. Don't just assume the 49ers are guaranteed to trade away Garoppolo, just because of the trade-up. I truly believe their plan is to keep him for at least another year, while the #3 pick develops on the bench.

Doc
Yeah, what they’re saying is that unless they get a first round pick (which would be a great but unlikely haul for him) they’re going to keep him and let the rookie develop behind him for at least a year.
Malazan
I will trade you my used insoles for $1000 which is a better deal than Garoppolo for a 1st
