YoloinOhio
There are rumblings that Goodwin could be released by the Eagles. He is age 30. He opted out of the 2020 season. He was on a 1 year, 1.35 mill contract.

Rc2catch
He’s basically a camp body with experience at this point. He’s never really seemed that football is his career which it troubling. Im still 100% on the go get Khalif Raymond train. He checks the boxes we need.

Freddie's Dead
I'm arguably the biggest 'quise fanboy around here. But even I have to say enough. He's 5th WR at best, after Diggs, Beas, Gabe, and McKittrick. We need to do better, and I hope Hodgins is that piece.
Buddo
Wouldn't be entirely against it, but not really fussed either way. One thing I would say, is that even at 30, he's got so much speed, that losing a step would still make him quicker than the vast majority. A big concern is that guys like that, with a less than solid build, are more likely to pick up knocks that keep them out of games. I'd also say that he is the type of guy who if he commits to football, he will throw himself into it whole heartedly.
YoloinOhio
We need 90 players and I wouldn’t mind bringing in his world class speed as it is something we do not have. He should be pretty cheap and I think this is a place he would be interested in playing due to the QB, WR Centric offense, scheme, and need for his skill. He’s also a gunner on ST or was when he was here so might he able to take that over. Of course he would need to make the team which wouldn’t be easy but he’s worth a flyer. clearly it wouldnt preclude them from signing or drafting other WRs. Don Otreply
Iirc, I don’t remember him being a particularly good receiver when he was here last, am I wrong on this? I do think it’s unlikely that Beane pursues him.
thenorthremembers
Probably a pass at this point. If he had the injury history and was productive it'd be one thing, but he hasnt been a productive player sans one year. Given the cap restrictions and his scale for the veteran minimum, I'd probably pass even at that rate.

He’s actually a good receiver, he can run almost all the routes and his hands are decent, his problem is and always will be he cannot stay healthy and football has never been his #1 passion. bigK14094
Brittle player.....a wasted 3d round pick by Bills. He did have a couple of good seasons w 49's though, much to my surprise.
Miyagi-Do Karate
Related question. What makes a guy like Tyreek Hill so much better than Glass Goodwin? their measurables are probably the same (Goodwin may be arguably even better in some areas). Goodwin has very good hands and runs good routes too. Setting aside Goodwin’s injury history, even when healthy, I don’t recall him making the sort of explosive play ever (like not even once) that Hill makes on a weekly basis. He's a good guy though...hopefully he gets a chance somewhere. But, at his age, and the inconsistency of his career, I don't see him having a huge impact anywhere at this point. Utah John
Smoke speed for cheap? If he can still fly, sure, at an affordable price. John Brown did alter how defenses played against the Bills during the games he didn't miss. So a burner like Goodwin could be enough to open things up. RyanC883
Great topic. I think there are some guys who project like him in the draft. I would have voted yes in a normal cap year, but not now.
