DJB
Sounds crazy right? Well I could see this happen. The Jets look like they will be in the hunt for a new QB at the draft. (Not here to argue whether that is the right decision or not. However teams that don't win a game usually draft a QB). While we haven't seen Fromm, Barkley is a replacement level backup. Plus everyone knows that Josh and Sam are super tight. Is it likely the Jets move Darnold out of the AFCE? Likely. But I don't think its a crazy scenario that Darnold ends up in Buffalo somehow. Thoughts Bills fans? Edited November 23, 2020 by DJB

Victory Formation
He’ll fetch a 2nd I’m sure and I doubt they’d trade him to us nor I doubt Buffalo would give up that much capital for a backup.. gimme the worst backup QB in the NFL.. if Josh goes down, tank for high draft picks.. Beast
Sam Darnold will not be a Buffalo Bill. He will want to go to a place where he can start. Look for him to be in a place like Chicago, New Orleans or San Francisco.

I think Mitch has a similar skill set to Josh, at least closer then Barkley. Mitch will come pretty cheap because he’s been bad in Chicago. Bills liked Trubisky coming out of college. I just think it makes a lot of sense. 3 minutes ago, Simon said: Another Carolina connection! Haha it never ends! I also think that Nagy gets fired this year and both Daboll and Bienemy get HC jobs. I wouldn’t be shocked if we pursued Nagy to be our OC (was McDermott’s first choice when he came here I believe, then Childress and eventually we hired Dennison), but I bet he ends up in KC. Dorsey will likely become OC. All speculation of course. Edited November 23, 2020 by JGMcD2

I was hoping that we'd used a 5th round draft pick on a backup QB since we didn't use it on a TE or a LB or a G or a DT or some useful player like that. I guess Fromm is enough of a dark horse that even if they like what they see in his solitary Covid Camp, it would make sense they want to sign someone else. I wonder if one of the teams that need a QB will figure maybe the Bears are just one of those teams that make QBs look bad and take a flyer on him to compete as a starter. SCBills
I’d be down for Trubisky. Darnold isn’t happening, and I’d be shocked if he fetched a 2nd with only one year left before the option year and the Jets unable to get him on the field to prove anything. The amount of avoidable press BS alone would be enough to dissuade Beane from ever even considering it. bye weeks, man. Maybe Someday
Possible Darnold or Trubisky end up our backup QB at some point but not next year. We’re not trading for either. If given the option both would sign somewhere they will have a chance to start and there are teams that would give both a chance.
78thealltimegreat
Some offensive guru will give up say a third or fourth for the chance to try to “fix” him but Sams problem isn’t mechanical it’s mental as he just seems to like to throw the ball to the other team been that was since his USC days
Big Blitz
I'm at 80% convinced Lawrence is staying. 1. The Jets. Not sure he's a NY guy. And no QB has ever really been an elite QB.....for either NJ team. Namath? No. Simms? Sure I guess. Eli. Never a top 15 QB. 2. Something about his make up tells me he would hate this covid year to be how he moves on from Clemson. And, you're going to be entering the league (the Jets) under covid protocols at least thru May most likely. 3. He's only 21. There really is no rush. No. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't win it, he stays. If they do I'd lower my odds to him staying to about 25% Edited November 23, 2020 by Big Blitz

InEnemyTerritory
I would be happy with Trubisky at backup. He's a guy who I wouldn't think our season is over with if Allen were to go down for 4-6 weeks (God forbid).

Chandler#81
I’m campaigning for a Fitz return. Of course he throws picks. It’s what gun slingers do. He’s also a great team guy and the most capable guy to come off the bench for a few weeks and lead a team to wins in the absence of your starter. THAT’s what I’m about.
All_Pro_Bills
Darnold goes to Pittsbutgh, backs up Ben for a couple seasons, settles into a system, and then takes over the starter job when he hangs it up.

Albany,n.y.
The biggest problem for. any team that trades for Darnold is the 5th year option. Either the Jets pick it up and he's guaranteed about $25 million in 2022, or he's more likely a one year rental to see what he can do. Either way, no team is trading for him to be a long term backup. Now if next year he bombs and can't get a starting gig in 2022, then he could be our backup after his rookie contract is up.

I can't Imagine any QB the Jets drafting after Darnold being successful. They didn't give him an O line, no receivers, no run game and expect him to carry the offense. 2 hours ago, Chandler#81 said: I’m campaigning for a Fitz return. Of course he throws picks. machine gun kelly
We’re not giving away a second round draft pick for originally a promising QB, when he was drafted to a damaged product as he was mishandled for three years. The only teams that will probably consider are Chicago, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Atlanta, and maybe NO. Probably not as Hill did ok yesterday, and Payton states he doesn’t see Winston throwing as many picks in his system. Darnold needs to reset himself for a year backing up an aging QB, and hopefully one of the better coaches in the league can work on improving his skills and decision making choices.
