CorkScrewHill
Did anyone else see him? I am wondering if they only played him during the blackout as I cannot recall him being on the field. He had no stats so there is that. I guess at least he got on the field, but I hope the light turns on soon for him. Not bashing him .. just hope he makes an impact as I have no doubt we will need our depth players at some point on the line. 2 1

thenorthremembers
He has talented veterans ahead of him. He will get his time. Luckily the Bills have built the roster well enough where draft picks dont need to be starters "off the bus" anymore. Straight Hucklebuck
He needs a year in the weight room. A 5.02 40-yard, 17 reps on the bench and 32” vertical. He is a sub-par NFL athlete based on those testing metrics, so I think that’s where he needs to improve to get onto the field. 3

billsfan89
A lot of rookies are having a hard time making an impact due to the lack of a pre-season and a lack of off-season in person training. So AJ getting 17 snaps is probably the coaching staff trying to ease him in.

Also to pick on another rookie, Davis only scored 1 touchdown which is as many as the undrafted fullback/tight end scored
blacklabel
I saw him out there once or twice. Honestly, I wouldn't expect a whole lot from him this season. Without a regular off-season and pre-season games to get used to the speed of the game at the NFL level I think it's tough to expect him to come right out and tear it up. He's also seen as a bit of a project, needs refinement in some areas. But the word on him coming out of college was that he doesn't do any one thing spectacularly, but he does all things well. A quote from an AFC exec or scout said something like, "Give him a year or two and we'll all be saying, dang, we over thought it with him." dickleyjones
McDermott tends to bring draft picks on slow, under the pretense that they must "earn it". And so it is for Epenesa.

Rk_Bills86
He's a rookie on a very deep D-Line that does a ton of rotations - he's fine. It' literally a stashed pick for possibly replacing the aging vets.

Don’t throw the rookie into the fire, take your time, we are NOT in an urgent situation desperate for help. That’s a very good thing!

Orlando Tim
17 snaps is not nothing. I would guess that Miami had about 70 snaps and that would be about 25%, even if they had 80 snaps that would be 20% in a rotation D.

TigerJ
I expect nothing this year. He might get a few tackles late in the season, but he's going to be a part time player only IMO. Cheektowaga Chad
Remember he is a second rounder not a first Also this is how you develop talent and keep winning for years and years not just have one or 2 good years. Defensive end is a key position and it will be pretty nice having an in house replacement for a couple of our older vets when we need the cap space
