Dragoon
I’ll be happy with 7-9 sacks and just a couple plays. I know he’s been a producer but he’s not getting further from the proverbial cliff, he’s getting closer.

Happy
Whatever we can get from him. Sounds like he's just a place holder until the next draft, where he will probably be replaced.

folz
Unless there is a significant drop-off, which I don't think there will be this year at least, or he is not getting the same number of snaps as he did in Carolina, then I expect him to do what he has done for the last 4 years (averaged below). He has been amazingly consistent over that span: 9.75 sacks 35 tackles 14 Qb hits 2 forced fumbles 2
Augie
I’ll go with 6-8 sacks in a rotation, but more importantly set a good example. NEVER get caught with Ranch on the same table with your wings! This year of 2020 has seen enough havoc already! 2 2 1
Florida Bills Fanatic
I'm really wanting "bad things" but I'm expecting 7 to 9. In a rotation, that would be pretty good.
klos63
the expectations are high as he is helping to replace a very productive Shaq Lawson. I have been watching some games from last season recently and Shaq was very noticeable out there, making lots of plays. Addison needs to continue to perform at a high level.

We got Addison for considerably less than Lawson Signed for. Just a hunch and opinion but I don’t think Lawson keeps it up now that he got paid. Not at last years level. Addison on the other hand was undrafted. He bounced around before coming to the Panthers and still had to work his way up the ladder. He was always a high motor, low drama guy. A total “ Process” guy. I think he brings 9-10 sacks and a couple more forced fumbles to the table this year. I also think he is going to make Hughes better as there will be two bonafide rushers on the outside now. If Oliver has gotten stronger in the Offseason (now that he has a year under his belt and knows what to expect) and gets more consistent push up the middle, I think Addison makes us better.
Chandler#81
4-5 Sacks, perhaps. Our QB gunners have mostly come from the inside, with Hughes & Murphy solid yet unspectacular outside. Our Defense needs the DEs to contain and disrupt flare/flat passes. Anything more than that is purely bonus.

Actually, the full value of Mario's FA contract (3 years, 30.045 mil) was a fraction higher than Shaq's (3 years, 30 mil). The Bills DL is going to be an 8 man rotation: Addison, Hughes, Jefferson and Epenesa at DE/Edge, Lotulelei, Oliver, Butler and Phillips at DT. All are roughly 7 or 8 out 10 right now, so they'll get roughly even playing time (25-35 minutes per game). So if Mario does his part in making his share of plays, that'll work for me. 2

GunnerBill
3-4 sacks. His rush win %, his QB pressures and his tackles for loss were all down in 2019. He got there less but was remarkably effective at turning it into hits and sacks when he did. That feels unsustainable. If he only gets there as often as he did last year I expect a significant drop off in production. 3-4 sacks and a backup by the season's end is my prediction.
machine gun kelly
He filled a void, and I think the real pressure comes from the inside which is McD’s philosophy, just like his mentor Jimmy Johnson (Philly, not Dallas). Between all the additions, this line will be fresh only having to play 50% of the time. This is why I don’t see anyone having 15 sacks, but moreso a number of players having 8-10 sacks. I can see Hughes having a better year, this year. With having outside of Epenesa, Oliver and H. Phillips, the rest are older so having to only play maybe 50-60% of any game will help.

Don Otreply
Expectations? To be who the player he has been for the last four years, give or take a little relative to his assignments, that’s the expectation. Is there some other expectation? I don’t care about his pay, (it’s in the top 5% of income nationally like every player in the league) that goes for every player on the team. Go Bills!!! If so, not sure how Addison will be a backup, though we can hope he sees only a small amount of snaps. One thing for sure is that Beane has made the DE position one of need, multiple times, next year with Addison, Hughes, and Murphy all probably gone. BarleyNY
Looking at him to be a quality rotational DE who is primarily used on passing downs to get to QBs. Addison was a good signing IMO.
