Week 9: Bills (-10.5) vs Redskins

I think the teams have figured some things out with us.  If we dont figure it out pretty soon then we are in trouble.  I think one of the keys is to start letting it rip.

It also seems that Daboll has us passing when we should be running and running when we should be passing.

This loss may actually be a good thing.  It may light a fire and at least it was an NFC opponent.

If the Redskins beat the Bills , I think say goodbye to the Playoffs and the Bills will be 7-9 or 8-8 at best .

Bills are favorite in the Vegas line but how ??

Well, I did predict 8-8 at the beginning of the season...so there is always that... ??

because we’re a better team, and we’re at home.

how are the Bills favored? I don’t understand the question. They shouldn’t be favored because they lost today? You realize the skins are also coming off a loss - and have one win on the season by a point over the worst team in the league?

I hate myself for responding to this thread.

What did the eagles do the week before playing us? In some ways, every week is different.

Also, one team is 1-7, the other 5-2. Unless the starting QB of the 5-2 team is out, theres not a single scenario where the bills wouldnt be a favorite. Were you drunk in the parking lot when you created this thread?

I think any chance for the Redskins to catch the Bills napping ended today.  They now have the Buffalo Bills full attention.  Washington's defense could cause some problems..simply because Allen and the receivers aren't dominating anyone.  The Bills should be able to run enough and dink & dunk their way to a 20-10 type of win.

Self loathing is part of the program. I did it too. None of us are perfect,  but we all do our best......

I worried about AP running as we had trouble stopping the run today against Philly.. BUT

Barkley came out red hot against up for the Giants and we were able to make the proper adjustments to shut him down.

If we can shut down the run, I think we got this game.

With a WAAAY better record. How is this even a question by the OP.

If MCDermott and Frasier call the defense conservative and play not to lose and Dabol calls another bad game why not?  Basically they let teams hang around bad thing can happen. They had the Eagles on the ropes today and the Josh Allen fumble swung the momentum and the Bills never responded.

It’s not so much the quality of the RB as it is the quality of the OL. The eagles have a really good one and some backs who can take advantage and they did. Wentz also has mobility outside the pocket that opens up the run game. Bills will need to attack the film this week.

I'll say not because I won't be at the game. I'm the jinx, Pats and Eagles.

People really overreact one way or the other.    Today sucked and leaves question marks during tougher games down the road, but it is not the end.   Even if a team finishes with 11 or 12 wins, this means that they lost a few and likely had a couple clunkers like Buffalo did today.    Fortunately for Buffalo, the next four games are the Redskins, Browns, Dolphins, and Broncos.   Those are all winnable and even 3 out of 4 has Buffalo finding themselves at 8-3 going into their challenging stretch.

Don't get me wrong, I am concerned about the viability of our front seven against good offenses, Allen's development and daboll's play calling.    If we make the playoffs, we are likely a first round exit because of these issues.   The season is far from over though and there is time to turn things around.  .

I don’t care if it’s an out of conference game or not, you have to win this game. If the Bills lose to the redskins in Buffalo, the season is over.

So why did we HAVE to win this game. Was it to make you feel better. People on this board act like the BILLS were going 14-2

Because there are a lot of losses left on the schedule and this is a reeling team that you have to beat. Especially at home. We have tough games down the stretch you need to stack as many wins as possible now. Teams are going to catch us for the wildcard if don’t keep wining

Setting aside the terrible phrasing of what I think was a question, yes the Bills could lose to Washington.

Washington has had extra time off.

Haskins could come out and run all over this defense with AP.

Allen could turn the ball over, either fumbling or throwing picks.

Daboll could call another terrible game with formations like DiMarco split out wide, so the offense is playing 10 on 11.

Lee Smith could cost us another penalty in the red zone. Smith could also cost the team a timeout  because he doesn’t know what he is doing.

If the Bills and the fans haven’t learned that any team can beat them in the NFL by now, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Gut check time at One Bills Drive.

Unfortunately we are stuck with Daboll till season ends, nobody on that staff has play calling experience.
