I don’t think Wyatt teller is the type of player who you make sure to trade outside the conference

Yeah, I didn't say it was a mistake. Just that it's interesting because we play them.

Just liked the sound of that word today ?

Seriuosly can't see OBD keeping Bodine in any scenario.  Small, gets pushed around like on roller skates and no long term upside equals his getting cut.

But he has been practicing punting and holding kicks!

I liked Teller and thought he was a good, young developmental lineman.  That said, the quality of the roster is such that capable players are going to be cut this year, so if Teller was going to be cut, better to get something in exchange for him.  I guess I have to trust Bills management.  Their roster moves in the last couple of years seemed to have worked out in our favor.  I was disappointed when they traded Watkins and Darby (obviously much higher-profile moves than this one), but those moves proved to work out well for us, so I will go on faith that this one will work out too.

I mean - they felt good enough about teller to bring in - Long, Feleciano, and Spain at Guard.  That was pre-draft... and they drafted Ford who is projected to start at RG.  So legit he was 5th string guard basically at this point.

I know the proof is in the record and actual success on the field - but all indications are that we’ve got a really good one in Beane.

Every move just seems smart, and like it’s part of a really well thought out blueprint.

Pretty nice return for a depth lineman that had been passed by on the depth chart. Good job by Beane getting a couple picks for a guy that was possibly going to be cut.

I wish him well in Cleveland.

Remember when we traded them tyrod taylor for the first pick of the 3rd round?

Merlin and the Red Witch have nothing on Beane and his Beanery...dude is just a wizard like no other.

Beane’s nickname should be “The Fleece” the way he be out here fleecing fools

I think its more a reflection of the browns... we were totally going to cut that guy.  I guess they didn't have to pay him a big contract... but they picked up the bonus!

My thoughts on the O-Line are that Spain has been a huge disappointment.  Not good at all, looks out of shape, penalties, injuries.   We will see.

Bates has looked good, but a small sample size so far.   S. Long has not been good.

Feliciano and Ty N. look good, and Ford seems better at guard.

So I would like Dawkins, Feliciano, Morse, Ford, Ty N.

Call me not surprised. Boettger is better and they seem to like Bates too. When Spain went out last week and Teller wasn't the first guy in that told the story for me.

My view has always been he struggles in small spaces. I think he is effective when on the move but his feet in small, tight spaces are a weakness.

You need to watch Spain closer.

I disagree with your contentions that Spain and Long have not been good. Apparently, so does the coaching staff.

So the door is now wide open for Conor McDermott.

I've seen this said a few times, but I disagree with it. McDermott is strictly a tackle, and hasn't really impressed this preseason.

To me, it means the door is now wide open for Ryan Bates. Bates has looked better at tackle than McDermott, and can also play center and both guard positions.

Dawkins - Spain - Morse - Ford - Nsekhe

Depth: Long, Feliciano, Bates, Boettger/possible waiver claim.

They'll either keep 8 O-linemen or 9. If it's 9, I won't be surprised if the 9th guy isn't currently a Bill.

)) I read TBD from Moscow. It's so unexpected to see Navalny on this website )))

I liked Teller last season and hoped he'd grow to solid starter.

But if he is supposed to be cut, it's better to trade him for picks. Good deal. And I hope new linemen are really stronger than  Teller
