  1. ...must be for bats exceeding the "'SELL BY DATE"..... Urn deliveries in Wuhan raise questions about China's actual coronavirus death toll New York Post Massive deliveries of urns in Wuhan have raised fresh skepticism of China’s coronavirus reporting. As families in the central Chinese city began picking up the cremated ashes of those who have died from the virus this week, photos began circulating on social media and local media outlets showing vast numbers of urns at Wuhan funeral homes. China has reported 3,299 coronavirus-related deaths, with most taking place in Wuhan, the epicenter of the global pandemic. But one funeral home received two shipments of 5,000 urns over the course of two days, according to the Chinese media outlet Caixin. https://www.foxnews.com/world/urn-deliveries-wuhan-china-coronavirus-death-toll
  2. ..we in construction do what we call a "post project review", regardless of success or failures......success tells us what measures to replicate on future projects...failures tell us what we did that went wrong so we can avoid similar pitfalls on future projects......perhaps a stretch, but Fed and state governments should possibly (um ok) employ a similar process with response to disaster responses.......yes I'll admit that pro-active preparedness thinking is non-sequitur with all knowing politicians.... ..
  3. ...from one of my employees whose wife is a school teacher (I CAN'T make this up).......parents are calling her pleading with," can you call my child about the importance about doing their work at home now?.....they won't listen to me"......FAILED "Parenting 101" IMO......
  4. ...any idea if there is a Chappaquiddick Bridge Exhibit there?.....just askin'.......
  5. ...it is a forever moving target for our construction company in NYS, deemed an ESSENTIAL business (200+ Union electricians in the field).....but with operations in NYS, PA and NJ, states differ.....construction in PA and NJ is NOT essential, so I have another level of regulations to digest.....here in NYS, Cuomo laid out definitions for CONSTRUCTION and MAINTENANCE SERVICES (items #5 and #9) with both affecting our company.....other industries complained to Cuomo about the vague definition of ESSENTIAL construction services allowed to continue....hence he caved and issued revised ESSENTIAL Construction Services definitions on Friday with NO EFFECTIVE DATE (now known to be 4/3)....so general contractors, construction managers and school districts went into premature panic mode and started shutting down everything......a portion of our work is school work electrical services......his revision made NO mention of "school work", either by design or an inadvertent omission because schools are closed.....schools being closed is the IDEAL construction work environment.......building trades are spread out WELL BEYOND the social distancing mandate and there ARE NO STUDENTS......collapsing our company's $15 million annual construction employees' payroll along with our $8 million annual expense of Union benefits makes PERFECT sense, right?.....
  6. ....what about pre-inauguration??.........just askin'...........
  7. ...he would essentially be the 1st President to be sequestered in US History while puppeteers ran the show.......do not forget his proclamation to have a female VP whose ONLY qualification would be gender.....and you thought COVID-19 was scary.......
  8. ...in the true spirit of NEEDING TO "let a crisis go to waste politically", I refuse to politicize this crisis nor point fingers....BOTH sides have displayed their unpreparedness.....expecting the Feds REGARDLESS OF WHO IS IN POWER to have a magic wand of "we're all better" is nonsense......The Feds cannot even do that in natural disaster (ie. FEMA) responses....politicizing this crisis does NOT save one damn , precious life...yet the "Beltway 535" cannot put their damn fingers in their pockets for ONE moment......at the same time, as both Fed and states respond, it is repulsive that portions of this society continue to ignore even the BASIC suggestions of mitigation.....guess the fickle will "forever be fickle"....just pray the TBD brethren heeds ALL "stay safe advice" in survival mode, so we're all here to argue down the road......Godspeed friends.......
  9. Trump mulls coronavirus quarantine on New York, New Jersey, Connecticut By Adam Shaw | Fox News President Trump on Saturday said he is considering imposing an enforceable quarantine on New York, parts of New Jersey and parts of Connecticut as part of the efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus. “Some people would like to see New York quarantined because it’s a hotspot — New York, New Jersey, maybe one or two other places, certain parts of Connecticut quarantined,” he said outside the White House. “I’m thinking about that right now. We might not have to do it but there’s a possibility that sometime today we’ll do a quarantine — short term, two weeks for New York, probably New Jersey and certain parts of Connecticut.” https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-mulls-imposing-coronavirus-quarantine-on-new-york-new-jersey-connecticut
  10. ...medical folks and first responders on the front lines show unparalleled commitment to the COVID-19 outbreak.....scary occurrence for one of my employees though...her cousin, an RN here in Rochester, drew blood from the 1st suspected COVID-19 patient at her hospital....went to a drive-thru testing site......wind blew over a PPE collecton bin and someone came out in scrubs only (NO PPE or gloves) to pick up items.....RN reported it to Health Dept who said, "guess we have a ton of work to do for training".....heart precluded personal protections.......
  11. ..probably a dumb question...but how can Trump bar travelers at the Federal level whereas states like Rhode Island cannot enact travel restrictions from NYS people?.....
  12. ....as a NYS resident, his cover has been blown as woefully unprepared and inept...BUT, it's all Trump's/Fed's fault.......he spends money like a drunkin' sailor with a projected $6 BILLION deficit PRE COVID-19.....SIX trips to PR to emphasize with them because Trump screwed them out of hurricane relief, as if $92 BILLION wasn't enough ( checking politicians' pockets or explaining unmoved sup[plies in warehouses for 2 years, Big Fredo?).....how much money is he peeing away suing Trump for tax returns?........based on what appears to be a huge difference between Upstate NY and the NYC metro area relative to cases and control, would you as Governor draw an arbitrary "line of demarcation" relative to current restrictions in place? .....I am not saying a complete "back to business as normal" for Upstate NY, but somewhat relaxation of the more extreme restrictions....I would think a PARTIAL functioning NYS economy with again, appropriate restrictions would be beneficial versus the current statewide stranglehold precipitated by NYC and their population density...Upstate is terribly paying the price for his ineptitude in NYC prepardness.....don't you think a pro-active, forward thinker would make sure NYC with a "on top of" population of 7-8 MILLION is essentially prepared as well as having a contingency plan (ie. stockpiles) for a catastrophic event?......yet he is being touted as presidential candidate material...GRADE F for ANY type of preparedness...GRADE A+ for pointing the finger and blaming anyone but himself.......go figure.....
  13. ...something NEW?...Grandpa always said, "don't try to change the spots on a leopard"...............
  14. ...if elected, could he be the 1st President put in Executive Branch quarantine?...............just askin'.............
  15. ....RIP...YOU melted and evaporated YEARS ago from any type of productive dialogue.....
