Is Diggs done?

Shelf the Diggs decline talk. If any discussion is to be had, it should be surrounding why the Bills aren’t able to regularly push the ball down the field in the intermediate/deep range.

Lots of layers to this. Diggs is a factor, but him as an issue is not one.

Until we need to pass to win.

People that say he's done don't take into consideration the guy had 5 100 yard receiving games on the first 7 games. You don't go from being elite to not having it anymore in the same season. Something is wrong but it's not him being done. I really wonder if he is just mentally not in the game for some reason. I have noticed he doesn't really seem to have the fire anymore and maybe he wants out and he figures doing what he is doing is his best way out after the season. He's being very uncharacteristic with dropping balls and fumbling so to me it's mental and the comments from him brother after the Denver game he "needs to get out of here" doesn't just come out of thin air. I believe they have discussed it. And maybe it's on his mind

Load management, IMO. Bills need to work at winning without him.

There's no load management in must win games.  Something is off.  I don't know if it's injury, change of coordinators, the brain telling the body he turned 30, or defenses finally cracking the code on how to contain him.  They need to figure it out fast though as he needs to be their number one weapon if this team both makes the playoffs and makes a legitimate run.

think hes trying to play hurt

He is hurt. First play of the game his neck and after that play he was also limping a little coming on and off the field. He is awesome and Josh missed him twice on big plays and he still made some key plays and got open on some others where the ball didn’t get to him.

Also Gabe and others were open as Diggs again got extra attention. Bills win and Diggs is a great player and a gamer.

I’d put my money in hurt but not out. He’s very verbally quiet and does not seem agitated. Tells me he’s hobbled and almost a decoy-ish

This. Something is hurt, but as you suggest, it's not enough to not play. But enough to keep him off his best. Hopefully, he is back to 100% soon.

He had 1 of the catches of the night, 3rd & 8 for the 1st with just over 2 min to play but yea he's going through a rough stretch but if he gets going the o will be that more dangerous

Totally agree, I wonder if an ankle or knee are limiting his cutting and his routes?  It might explain the short screens.  Anyone who watches him closely at games notice anything?

I may be over analyzing this but on the Josh Allen interception, the cut that Diggs made on that safety was not crisp at all, in fact it was a very rounded cut and didn’t come close to giving the defender a tough route to cover hence the lack of separation.

I think he is hurt as well, that’s the only plausible explanation to his play over the past month or so.

While I still believe he needs to suck it up, sitting in the stadium last night it’s clear that he isn’t right. You can see it when he ‘runs’ off the field, taking himself out of the game. He appears to have a significant hitch in his get-along. It’s got to be an ankle or a knee.

Seriously? Diggs clearly is contributing the best he can. Reminds me of criticism of Beasley and then we learn he had a broken FIBULA.

Yes, seriously. You can see it clearly on contested plays. He’s simply not competing. Is that on him, or on the coaches for putting him out there?

Diggs had two steps on that route, Josh under threw him by 3 yards because he threw cross body.

SoCal, you need to cut Diggs slack. You have a thing against him. He is it NOT alazy guy.

Did you see his lack of effort on the interception in front of him? My issue isn’t actually with Diggs. It’s with our ridiculous coaching staff who keep putting him out there.

He’s running full speed away from a ball that’s thrown well-short of him….

Effort?

I can’t vouch for Diggs. I think he’s been at least doing something. He’s got some catches. Some yards. I’m just here to comment about the coaching staff. It’s the same coaching staff that keeps trotting NON Miller out there to do nothing but get blocked out of every single play and then stand up and watch the play unfold while he thinks about how he wants to assault his Gf again.

He isn’t running full speed on any play right now. His effort anfter he knew it was underthrown was minimal at best. I’m guessing it’s because he can’t cut on that ankle/knee. Our #1 receiver is clearly hurt. His longest catch yesterday was for ELEVEN yards.

The problem on that play had nothing to do with effort. It was not even close to being contested. The ball was lollipopped a few yards short of Diggs, who had beat his man by 2 steps.

There are plays to critique when it comes to Diggs, but that’s not one of them.

I’ve been staying this for 5 weeks. He definitely tweaked something, we will find out after the season. He’s been playing the very good soldier despite his stats tanking. That doesn’t bode well for the playoffs IMO. Brady really needs to get Kincaid, Shakir, Knox and Davis more involved regularly in the passing game. We’ve got 2 games to figure it out assuming we make the playoffs.
