Jets pursuit of Rodgers is fueling bills offseason focus

KC and Cincy are fueling the off-season focus, not the Jets.

The off-season should be no other team than our own. A balanced offensive unit that still relies on Josh.

Trying to play catch up did not get us to where we are at. Letting Josh, well… Josh is what has. In fact, one could say focusing on the Chiefs last off-season is part of what went wrong this year. Lack of quality depth all around by chucking money at a (yes HOF) defensive end who is playing in part of a heavy rotated unit.

With the amount of $ and draft capital invested in that defensive line you would think there would be results to show. At best, they were below average when Von went down. Absolutely abysmal in the Playoffs.

A team that spends energy focusing on another team is a loser.  Buffalo seems to focus alot on Kansas City,, and Yay, they beat them in the regular seasons.  Wonderful.  Now maybe they will focus on Cincinnati too this offseason.

Meanwhile KC doesn't care.  They focus on themselves.  They even lose to Buffalo and Cinci during the season but they focus on winning playoff games and Super Bowls.

He was in NFL FOs for quite a while. I'm not putting much of anything into his tweet, but he does likely still has contacts and hears things. It’s not like he is a social media influencer or someone trying get a foot in by posting bs stuff with no connections anywhere...

That is a nice resume.  I just have no clue what evidence he has that the zero moves we have been made or even rumored to be in on are shaped by the Jets pursuit of Rodgers.  Are we doing nothing because Jets are pursing Rodgers?

It means almost nothing at this point, all we know thus far is we took Bijan out to dinner.

I can read it as building the OL and keeping him off the field. But I can also read it for the otherside of the ball and that does not make me happy...

I do think it is likely he heard things and rumblings that aren't out there. It is also likely he is riling up the fanbase...

Just trying to provide what is out there in twitterverse,l. Deciphering this is like trying to figure out Diggs's tweets

It may mean they (i) add a couple million-per-year to whatever they're offering Edmunds; and (ii) talk themselves into drafting a safety in the first three rounds.

It's probably as hard to talk McD into another DB and re-signing Edmunds like it is offering cake and ice cream to a fat kid who just had 3 candy bars.

Sure, why not...haven't had sugar in like 5 minutes.

I explored a Green Bay forum. They aren't worried about Rodgers leaving. They are saying he can go to the Jets and under-throw and over-throw receivers there.

After reading their comments I am less concerned about Rodgers/Jets. Or Rodgers/Miami which is speculated by some.

Well I guess that makes sense, if the Jets are doing things to be good then I guess we better actually try this year too, if they weren't we could just ***** around like usual, it's not like we want to beat all the rest of the teams each year or anything. 🙄

Seems like a bad match at this juncture. The Jets have some young talented skill players. AR the aloof super star didn’t seem to relish the mentor be patient approach with the Pack rookies. Now the Jets commit likely 2 years to a  huge cap hit, regressing diva, media seeking malcontent. Seems like a plan🤓

Beat Rodgers with GB last year. Don’t know why the Bills could t handle him with the Jets. He’s a front runner who’s bound to implode more often the older he becomes. He’s head is a mess.

I think people are concerned the Jets beat us with Zack Wilson, and would have an even better chance with Aaron Rodgers.  The Jets roster is much better than the Packers.

I wasn't worried about the Bills at all but other Bills fans are making me more and more anxious as time goes on.

I find myself drinking more, sleeping less, neglecting my family, ignoring my dog....all for reasons that I was not concerned with when the offseason started.

Is anyone else struggling with this right now?

Is there a support group?

They should be. The Jest with a legit QB are a genuine threat in the AFCE.

Jets didn’t have a Breece Hall either.  Jets are no joke.  Neither is AFC East.
