Blank Stare
Weren’t they just saying two days ago he still had a chance to play week 1 depending on how he responded to the workout they put him through? Maybe he didn’t do well after the workout, but seems like a pretty dramatic shift in position that he could be ready to play in a few days to now possibly being out 4+ weeks. ColoradoBills
As bad as Zach Wilson has played the Jets fans will be calling for him after 4 weeks of Flacco. The guy showed he was done in Denver and his record with the Jets the last 2 years is 0-5.

msw2112
Flacco is terrible at this stage of his career, but he's still better than Wilson. Yes, Wilson is injured, but this is an excuse for the coach to play the experienced veteran QB. It's like Marrone going with Kyle Orton over EJ Manuel. Coaches want to put in the guy who gives them the best chance to win, as they like to keep their jobs. Long-term successful veteran coaches (like Shanahan in SF) and first-year coaches (like Saleh last year) can get away with playing the young QB and letting him develop, but 2nd and 3rd year coaches who have not had success need wins to keep their jobs. I should add that if playing guys like Joe Flacco (at this stage of his career) or Kyle Orton (where he was with the Bills) is your best option, the team is going nowhwere. Arm on last year's Flacco was Flaccid. Jets better hope WIlson is ready by week 5 else Flacco's arm wont hold up beyond that. Expect Jets to go run-heavy in the first quarter of the season

Albany,n.y.
Starting to look like the 2nd coming of Sam Darnold. Darnold has missed 3,3,4,5 and is out 4-6 already this season. Wilson missed 3 last year & at least 3 more this year. When a young QB keeps getting injured, you don't know whether he's the next Phil Simms, who after some early career injuries put together a string of durable years & could be counted on as the Giants starter, or if he's the next Rob Johnson who would get continuously injured and you could never count on him. It also messes up a team's ability to properly evaluate him whether he's the QB of the future or you need to move on. The Jets wasted 3 years with Darnold & Carolina was dumb enough to trade for him & give him the 5th year option.
Greg S
The first 4 weeks of their schedule is against the entire AFCN. Those teams are pretty good at getting after the QB. Not good for an old guy like Flacco. Week 1 - Ravens Week 2 - at Browns Week 3 - Bengals Week 4 - at Steelers

947
Hoping Flacco is just good enough for them to win 6 games. Flacco may be bad enough that the Jets are in the running for the #1 overall pick. With the non-QB talent they've added, they could turn around quick with the right QB in the draft.

Steptide
I can't see Wilson ever being an elite qb. Maybe he has a few good seasons if he stays around long enough (ie tannehill) but I don't see him being Mahomes or Allen anytime soon. What do I know though
Greg S
I wonder if they call SF about a possible trade for Jimmy G. He can't be happy being the backup to Lance. He would also be better than what the Jets have on their roster.
