Kidding, actually you want some for the draft picks, and a few more million in case a veteran player becomes available after the draft that you would want and can help your team. Now is the team to have a few bullets in reserve.
KollegeStudnet
A chunk of it is going to signing our draft dudes. But, would be awesome to see what they could get after June 1st cuts Also, Salt Lake Bills Backers 4 Life! 🤗

Rookies don't need to be signed until just before TC.
sullim4
If they have no one else to sign aside from draft picks, I'd love to see them try to move money around by frontloading cash and lower their cap number for future years. 3
BillsFanForever19
Probably have to knock off around a mil for Bobby Hart. Another around 3 for Draft Picks. And Beane won't want to go into the season at 0. But it's still a little more wiggle room than most had projected for us. I believe the plan is still to Draft a long term cost controlled CB with a premium draft pick and then to sign the best vet CB that's desperate before Training Camp at a bargain one year deal. Maybe a Joe Haden or a Bryce Callahan type.
msw2112
Here's a thought - set aside what is needed for draft picks and maybe a little bit for in-season moves. Use the rest to sign a cornerback. Truth be told, I doubt Beane is done and with other potential restructures, he'll find the necessary money for a CB. 1

No need, the unused cap space would roll over to next year. I'd be surprised though if there was ultimately any significant cap space remaining when it's all said and done. Need reserves for the draft picks plus at least $1mil for potential in-season signing due to injury or what not. Also, the Bills will likely sign a veteran CB ahead of the draft just so it's not a glaring need (or at least as a smokescreen to make it appear not) and then maybe keep a few mil loose for potential post June 1 cuts and if nothing is there can always roll that space over to next year.
Simon Says
Per Spotrac, top 51 leaves 8.2 available. Should be able to sign rookies and after more restructures, who knows if they sign a free agent or two . As I’ve been saying, I fully expect a vet CB before the draft. Beane likes to go into he draft without any real holes in the roster. Nobody too expensive, but fairly serviceable. I don’t have any idea who that might be, but it’s how he goes into the draft. 15 minutes ago, ControllerOfPlanetX said: Gonna need that extra $24. That will get you a beer in the new stadium. . While this is true a very small amount if it actually counts Dont think actual money....think cap space A mid season signing very often would not go towards the top 51.....well because its a mid season sighing. Draft picks, full roster of 53 after cut downs, practice squad salaries, PS call ups if they have expanded roster again, mid season additions due to injuries, opportunity, etc. $10M is about the minimum you’d what for all of that. But there are still places to add cap space for more signings if needed so there isn’t anything to worry about.

Logic
Seems like just yesterday we were sitting here saying “Bills have no cap space, how will they afford any free agents or to re-sign any players?” Now here we sit, having signed Von freaking Miller plus a bunch of other dudes, re-signed Diggs, McKenzie, and Bates, and still sitting on $10M in cap space. Amazing. Beane is a baller.
No_Matter_What
This is very interesting. Yesterday is was slightly over $10M so I guess it went $150k or so down due to Bobby Hart signing, who I guess got that $1,047,500 min deal and it replaced one of $895,000 contracts. But there are two things I'd like to know. Sportrac has us at 66 players and $8,2M cap space. NFLPA says we have 68 players signed. Who are two players signed by Bills Sportrac doesn't know about? And more importantly, where are those extra $1,7M which we have more than Sportrac thinks coming from? Do they have some players wrong, or did we made some extra restructure not known so far?
