Splash offseason:

Sign Kirk and Gronk

Trade the first for McCaffrey and use him as a hybrid slot receiver

Tickets will be sold.

No to CMC, especially if we are getting Kirk who would be your slot guy. Would rather bring back McKenzie to help there if anything.

While I wouldn’t hate a Gronk acquisition. He doesn’t exactly give us much more than we already have with Knox. I feel like money elsewhere would help the team more.

I think with both Gronk and Knox on the field it would add a unique dynamic and create matchup nightmares against opposing defenses especially with Davis and Diggs already in the picture. Throw in Beasely (or whoever might replace him) and you are talking about an offense that will be right up there with KC jockeying for the #1 scoring unit all year.

Target-for-target, Knox had a better season.

Yeah he had a higher ypc and more TD's..........but Ertz had higher catch and yardage numbers.

Gronk blew BOTH Ertz and Knox out of the water with his 14.6 ypc and near 70 yards per game receiving............that's why Gronk is the only "star" TE in this free agent market.

Yes, because of an increased number of targets.  With the same number of targets Knox would have more catches, yards and TDs than Ertz and more catches and TDs than Goonk.

No, that isn’t splashy enough. While it’s a good signing, that isn’t bringing any more excitement than we’ve already been experiencing.
Mack, CMC, and Barkley all bring that “It’s on like Donkey Kong” vibe. Gronk isn’t exactly that.

Gronk is the only player you mentioned who played at an elite level last year.

He's the only star in a very deep TE free agent class.

Even if he wasn't a native WNY'er, one of the NFL's biggest celebrities and a long time rival he would be a bigger splash to the average Bills fan than those 3.

Christian Kirk had 9.5 yards per target last season..........Stefon Diggs had 7.5 yards per target...........players tend to get more targets and production because they get open.

Gronk was far better than Knox last season.........he's in a much different class as a blocker(elite) and he averaged 14.6 yards per catch.........and has averaged 15 yards per catch for HIS CAREER.   This is why he is maybe the greatest TE of all time.    Dawson Knox is good and seems to be ascending but they have nothing behind him.

He's an unrestricted free agent.

Yes if super cheap and better options fall thru.

Crowder is a fantastic route runner and has very solid hands.  His downside is he's rarely healthy.

wonder who the mystery vet is that is rumored to have approached the Bills?

Many people seem to think it's Gronk. I don't think so, as both he and his agent were in talks with Beane last year.

I think it's Allen Robinson- as both he and his agent were at the combine this year. Robinson's already been compensated well and his legacy has been marred by horrendous QB play. Josh Allen will solve that  in spades.

Devonte Adams is probably 99% going to get tagged or extended. Aaron will not let GB lose him.

Khalil Mack is 31 and way to expensive (23M) to attempt a trade. This is one native son who's likely not returning.

McCaffrey's biggest risk is his injury history. Are you really going to pay a hybrid slot wr that much on a trade. Also unlikely.

The 2 players who I think McB might try to land are Chandler Jones & Gronk.  Gronk is a native son who has already apologized to Tre. If you could get him for 2/16M, you can protect JA17 by running more 12 personnel. Chandler Jones on a 3/43M would get you as many sacks as Mack for far less. These 2 moves could be done once cap is freed up and contracts restructured.

Then draft heavy offense

25....Jameson

57......Hall

Mid rounds OL, CB

Please be Chandler Jones. Please be Chandler Jones.

Was wondering why Chandler Jones would ever go from AZ to Buffalo!

Didn’t realize he was from Rochester. Maybe wanting finish out his career with his hometown team!

Quote

In an appearance on Zolak & Bertrand on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Breer revealed that free agents are trying to make their way to Western New York in an attempt to win a Super Bowl.

“Two high profile free agents where if you heard the names you’d be like, ‘Oh, that’s a good name.’ Two high profile free agents started the conversation themselves with the Bills,” said Breer. “Went to the Bills and said, ‘I want to play there.’ And you know why? Guys want to play with Josh Allen. Like that’s a part of it now. And so what you had for all those years, guys wanted to come here to play with Tom Brady, guys want to play with Josh Allen.

Zolak and Bertrand pressed Breer about whether the high profile free agents played offense, but Breer revealed that was not the case.

“Both guys are on defense,” Breer added. “The Bills are the new kings of the AFC East.”

Chandler Jones? J.C. Jackson? Emmanuel Ogbah?

The possibilities are endless.

Everyone is speculating on big free agent moves.

Dudes: the Bills are over the salary cap. That kind of constrains the ability to maneuver.

As has been mentioned several times, the Bills have several moves they could make to get under the cap and sign some of these guys

If you are able to sign to two impactful players at DE and CB, they’ll find away to make the salary cap work!

There will be plenty of money freed up to get a splash player if they so choose to do so.
