  1. people are just mad because they're worried about the media skewering/trolling from other fan bases that will come IF Worthy pans out and the Chiefs continue to own the Bills. This would be akin to the Sabres trading their first round pick to Toronto and having the Leafs draft a superstar with it. It's not a rational view of the trade down, it's simply fear of being mocked for years to come.
  2. I am ready to be irrationally angry about a prospect being picked that I watched a 5 minute YouTube clip about. LFG baby.
  3. There was a very good article written last year that interviewed (anonymously) several DCs who said it was their stated goal to take away the overhead game. It was a DIRECT response to taking away what made Rodgers, Allen and Mahomes great. What you're seeing isn't the Bills (and Chiefs) taking away what are our QB's strengths, but a counterpunch to what defences are now giving them. It's where Dorsey failed as an OC. He refused to see that DCs around the league were begging him to run and work the underneath routes.
  4. I'm with you. Last season, to me, was the last opportunity for THAT iteration of the Bills to prove that they could get it done. And they had everything lined up to show us that. The beasts of the AFC, both KC and Cincinatti, were very vulnerable and the vaunted Eagles and Niners out of the NFC had warts as well. They even got the Chiefs at home....and they still couldn't get it done. I'm ok with a "new look" Bills from this season onwards. The old guard couldn't win it, so it's time to dump cap and start again.
  5. The team that won the Super Bowl did it on the backs of the best defense they ever assembled and a WR/RB running room that looked like extras from The Replacements...
  6. He WAS top 5, he hasn't been top 5 in the last two seasons.
  7. There's no 3rd down if Diggs catches that and scores, but that wouldn't line up with your crusade against Josh and you're need to be validated on this forum.
  8. Diggs had his moment to prove he was worth the infighting, the drama and the social media distractions, and this is what he did... When you come up THAT SMALL in a big moment, you're not worth the headache.
  9. Anyone think it's kinda funny that the Texans just created this issue where they needed a Diggs by unnecessarily trading a MUCH better receiver away in Deandre Hopkins...? Anyways, the return is meh, the current WR room is a major concern and I guess Diggs was more toxic than any of us realized. Hope he can be "HIM" in Houston. But my gut tells me this is the start of his "hop-along" career where he wears 6 different jerseys before calling it a career.
  10. Sigh...was hoping he'd be a signing this year. Him and Cook would have....cooked.
  11. Guys...my friend and his famiily were on the same flight home with Josh today. Apparently, he was able to be very sweet to their daughter (a huge fan) and took time from stuffing his face full of airport food to take a picture with her, sign an autograph and tell her how awesome it was to meet a Bills fan in Paris. I've asked my friend if I can share the picture but be warned, he may seem grossly obese to some...
  12. His skills as an actual WR are debatable but he's an EXCELLENT blocker. And apparently he is very good at reading blitzes and breaking them up. His absence there was noticably felt against KC.
  13. There was a recent suspension in the NHL where one player (Shane Pinto) got suspended for HALF the season but the NHL was very nebulous on what he exactly did and made a blanket statement that he "did not bet on his own team". Through people I know, what had happened is he had his friend make a bunch of "prop bets" on him and he went out of his way to meet them (i.e. number of shots per game, hits, points, etc.) This is going to happen more and more.
  14. But the reason it won't be truly discussed with the racial element attached to it is because no one will be honest as to WHY crime and especially crime amongst black men in inner cities is so high. Because that requires us to look at the institutions/policies/systems that were put in place to bring such levels of abject poverty and lack of opportunity that crime becomes palatable. It's just easier to sit there on a high horse and say "black men are more violent than white men" without any context whatsover.
  15. It's also especially rich that when the mass shooter is white, the media trips over itself to humanize the shooter, determine "why" he did what he did and have a whole slew of interviews with his neighbours about how he was a nice guy who kept to himself. Meanwhile, if the shooter was brown or looked Muslim...
