Just crazy! It’s corporate SOP, never use your own money, tax payers have been being duped into providing private corporations infrastructure for many decades, via tax breaks, aka corporate welfare, public funding Via taxes on our income, we pay to build it and then pay to use it, and the corporation gets the vast majority of financial benefit. Yet we just keep doing this over and over and over and over…, it mostly because we re-elect the same shysters from both political parties, over and over and over and over, will no-one ever learn? If the owners and NFLPA put away 10% of their pay/profit share every year and invested the money it would be paying for a new team stadium every 30 years. These expensive stadiums should last that long. That comes to a new NFL stadium every year. If cities and owners want anything "bigger and fancier" they can pay the difference. I liked the idea of the stadium in Buffalo, it's where it really belongs But costs were the factor. I still say the light rail should extend to OP. You could party DT, and take a 10 minute train ride. It's what many fans do in New Orleans, Philly, Jersey, Denver, Santa Clara (49ers), and even Pittsburgh. I see not having a dome is not stopping ANY player from coming to Buffalo. Miller said he liked playing in the cold in Denver.

This players/teams/league have accountants and those accountants write any personal/corporate donation off.. If you're talking about eliciting donations.. well that money is coming from the community so they're not really putting it into the community. Players/Teams/League don't start these up randomly out of the goodness of their hearts. 1 hour ago, SoCal Deek said: The Pegula Family doesn’t owe you a new stadium. I suspect if the stadium wasn't going to cost a dime of taxpayer money that most fans would still vote to to keep the current one. The NFL wants the new stadium and has basically told the Pegulas to make it happen. So WE don't owe the NFL a new stadium would be more accurate. 1

Same arguments why should tax payers pay for it. Make it a vote on ballot many argued. But as was pointed out if that was done on everything, nothing would ever be approved. And even if they decided not fund the stadium, it's unlikely that instead they'd put the money into schools, roads, etc. Instead they'd just be $1 bill less in the budget. Doubt the Bills wanted a dome, it will have a heated grass field, most seats all covered so what's the real advantage of the dome vrs playing in the elements. Biggest issues isn't snow or rain, but wind. That can be addressed in the design to minimize impact. Yes a dome can allow 12 months of use, but Buffalo isn't large enough to justify many events that require a 60k stadium. 2 to 3 concerts a year and they can still schedule them in summer months. As I sit here watching March Madness, Buffalo wouldn't get the final 4, maybe a regional final, but that likely could be played downtown anyway. Never see a Super Bowl.

I’ve seen some hand wringing about the potential Bears moves (PSLs are only for Soldier Field, not a new stadium), but hadn’t read much into the value hold… IDK, but seems like an investment I’m willing to speculate on, especially in a fresh new Stadium. Just wait until Hammer stars selling parking NFTs that guarantees you parking for life right next to the new stadium 🤣🙌 I know for a fact it happened in Cleveland. It must have happened elsewhere too. They were so bad for so long people just turned them in so they didn’t have to buy the season tickets. Many PSL holders also sold theirs for pennies on the dollar. Then the Browns offered the tickets of the turned in PSLs for sale as single game seats until the market picked back up. Then they sold the PSLs again. Edited March 26, 2022 by BarleyNY

Any idea if the upper decks will have some kind of partial overhead covering? The wind and rain combo when its 35f out is just miserable. I'm past the point of needing to feel macho. Obviously they will still be making a lot of money just not as much as if they move the team somewhere else.
