Fitz can do what Aikman and Romo have done and be better at it. He's funnier, smarter, has a more engaging personality than any other person connected to the NFL that I have witnessed. He has played for 9 different NFL franchises and likely has connections to more owners, FOs, players and coaches than any other person in the league. That is probably 100% his future, but they won't put him on TV with that lumberjack look. I also think he might make a very good coach down the line. Gugny
Fitz is one of my favorite NFL players of all time. That said ... nope. Too old. Too reckless. Too much of a liability. Sentiment and warm fuzzies aren't reasons you add someone to the roster. 1

So that being said, who would you prefer to back up Josh? Winston may get another starting opportunity I'm guessing. So maybe Bridgewater, or Mariota? Not sure how much difference the cost between those 2 and Fitz though. Who do you got in mind? Somebody that is healthy? Fitz had hip surgery in December and he is 40. He is done. Notice how he isnt mentioned anywhere in the media as an option. Its Trubisky, Mariota, Winston. Fitz isnt healthy. He is going to retire and show up at random events or become an announcer

Mark80
Sign me up. More than capable backup, great locker room presence, great community presence. I don't understand what's not to like about it? FilthyBeast
Here's the way I look at it, knowing what Fitzpatrick can offer if he signed in Buffalo and Allen gets hurt and misses a significant stretch of games what evidence is there that he's going to be able to carry the load and win games for this team? Sure he might come in and have a 2 or 3 game stretch where he goes bonkers and puts up some 300+ yard games. But history has shown what happens next and the lightening in the bottle fizzles out quickly with Fitz. Bigger picture with Fitz is the smart move is to simply retire and not continue playing period even if the bills were interested (and I don't think they will be).
