  1. went to the last game there, big Peterman blowout, Josh's first game. weather was absolutely miserable for that one too...
  2. Well, they come to WNY on Dec 18 in a game that will probably be at night, so they'll get a taste of their own medicine when its in the 20's at game time.
  3. yeah, I'm going to the Jets game in the swamp lower bowl goal line for $200... that's a $400 tkt at the Ralph..... how times have changed. 1/2 price to see a game in NYC
  4. the Bills play a zone defense, so the the answer simply is " all of them"
  5. yep, this is the final year for several starters. lets go have a great season
  6. Barring a rash of injuries (and I'm not sure they cannot overcome that with the depth that now exists) Bills will be extremely competitive in every game this year. The schedule and list of QBs played this year is vastly tougher than last year, for sure, but the Bills themselves are better this year as well. Looking forward to the season. This team is for real. McBeanes are killing it. Go play the games and we'll see.
  7. the way he plays, quick and bursty, you wonder if he'll ever be the same
  8. Panthers had their shot with Cam and missed. Time to reload via the draft. Heck, go trade with the Redskins for hometown Charlotte boy Sam Howell and give him a shot if you're taking a shot at Mayfield. Howell looking good so far this preseason.
  9. Hodgins. He'll never be a # 1 or #2, IMO. They've been showing him off all pre-season. Could get a 4th or maybe a 3rd?
  10. Go go McBeanes. The draft is the only way they can keep this team in the top tier for years to come.
  11. screw it, cut singletary and moss and go with Cook and Blackshear. there, I said it.. Josh pitch it 50x per game anyway
  12. Exactly!! I was all over that board with the 8&8 Forever handle, with all kinds of long winded diatribes about why the Bills were stuck in neutral, etc. , until the politics got too heavy; I was unemployed at the time if memory serves.. too much time on my hands.. I remember Doomed and Goose very well (and yourself , of course)... thanks
  13. I should revive my old "8&8 Forever" handle. Was so appropriate for so many years. 000's of posts under that name. What was the name of that board that became incredibly political perhaps 10 or so years ago? Can't recall it...
  14. yeah I say keep him.. they kind of need to be going for it the next couple years b4 the roster starts falling apart due to the salary cap
  15. Benford started as a true freshman in college, Elam became a starter later. Elam is a press corner, Benford is a zone coverage guy, taller, rangier, better tackler (like the guy we let go) perhaps a better initial fit in the McD zone coverage. Elam's higher ceiling will make likely make him the longer term starter, but yeah, maybe Benford just fits better right now. Is what it is. Love how McBeanes just go with the better fit at the time, don't let the media distract them. And we'll end up with two starting calibre DBs instead of just one. Works for me.
  16. yeah, looks like Poyer will be on the way out.. Beane waited too long on this one (but no sure he had to cap room to spare in any event).
  17. he was/is obviously a great athlete and fun to watch, but he's probably not gonna get any NFL team to the promised land. guy had a tremendous college career at VT and had/is having a very profitable pro career most QBs would love to have had... basically the typical shorter (<6') college star whose physical stature did not translate completely to the downfield passing dominated NFL. but hey he was fun to watch there for awhile...
  18. That second team o Line was more like the 3rd team o Line, so I take nothing from the run but that he was running for his life, like all the RBs were all night behind the BobbyHarts crew
  19. boy this board gonna explode if the Bills lose a game... way, way too much hype. Let's go play the games and see how they do, shall we?
  20. wow, torn achilles? Yep, that'll do it. Hope he had a decent rookie contract, bc that might be the last one he gets .. this is why I generally don't begrudge the big contracts NFL players sometimes get. It can all be over in an instant
  21. that punt was 70 yds in the air from scrimmage (75+ from where he hit it-- do I have that right?) . I've been watching the NFL for a very long time, don't thing I've ever seen that before. Yeah he was going from left to right but no wind, right? Amazing. Screw the coffin kick ability. Think we found our punter?
  22. Bills driving for the win and NFL network cuts to Steelers!
  23. boy this board will explode like never before with each loss this year. so much pre season hype.
