The 4 Chargers fans will say Herbert. These 4 are the top QB's in the AFC. I would say Mahomes and Allen are the top 2 and you can rank them anyway you want. These 4 will probably dominate the AFC for the next few seasons. To me, it's still Mahomes at #1. He has a Super Bowl and an MVP. Nobody else has that. Josh is in the same class at 1/2 and everybody else is 3+.

I have to think if you put Allen (or Mahomes) on the Bengals in that game Cincy wins it by 10. Not that Burrow did any thing terrible...just both Mahomes and Allen are better suited to escape the pressure, take what defenses give them and extend plays/drives. 3
RalphWilson'sNewWar
I wouldn’t say Burrow is the Best QB in the AFC right now. He is definitely in terms of “Being On Schedule” in the best shape. He’s only played 30 games (with playoffs). That is less than 2 seasons. That has him really ahead of all the AFC, right now. as for Kyle Brandts ‘burrow did not have a transcendent year’ Ehhhh…he sort of did. We are talking about a QB who only played 16 Games and went for a 70+ completion %, 30+ TDs, Rating of 108.3 (2nd in League) and 4600 yards passing (which made him throwing for the most yards of a QB who didn’t get to play 17 games and was only behind 5 other QBs overall. and then he did take the Bengals to the Super Bowl. billsfan_34
Nope! He is good, not the best. Arm strength above average, but nothing special. At times, the ball comes out like a wounded duck and other times a nice spiral without a ton of zip on it. Hasn’t learned to throw the ball away and mobility is just eh. Joe has a long way to go to get in the Rogers, Allen, and Mahomes class. Disclaimer: Cinci’s offensive line is a heap pile. Lets see what he does with some quality in the trenches. HamptonBillsfan
Joe Burrow is a great young QB, but to compare him to Allen is typical for a talking head that says controversial mindless absolutes for shock value. Allen is more dangerous with similar pedestrian O-lines in the vertical and underneath passing game as well as his prolific run threat. The biggest difference is Josh's elusiveness in the pocket. Burrow will not survive getting sacked as much as he does. He's already had a serious knee injury. Anyone who witnessed Josh this postseason and doesn't come away saying he's the best QB in football should not be taken seriously. ExiledInIllinois
I think Burrow is gonna be injury-prone. Get dinged up constantly. zow2
It's just a talking point. Show fodder. And then i see Greg Cosell on Cowherd's show say he didn't think Burrow played great football in the SB or the AFC Championship game. His protection sucked in the SB. Still makes me ill that Allen played outstanding and we lost because of the overrated #1 D.

I knew this take would be red hot if the Bengals won, which is exactly why I was pulling for Stafford and the Rams. Sure it would be nice if a nationally televised show would double down on our guy, rather than always leap frogging him with the next flavor of the month. But honestly, at least do it with guys that make sense or are part of the conversation. Mahomes, Rodgers, Allen. That is the premier tier. End of list. Burrow, Herbert, Dak,etc. might get there. But right now they all just seem like different flavors of Derek Carr in better situations.
Ethan in Cleveland
He may not even be the best QB in his division let alone the conference. Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, are all better. Jackson is as good or better. I know Jackson is as controversial on this board as Edmunds is but I believe he is an elite talent at QB. Come on. Burrow and Herbert are on another level from Derek Carr. They are clearly on tier 2, just behind Allen. Dak I agree with. He's got a cupboard full of toys to play with. He should be dominant. He's a tier 3 dude with Carr, Tannehill, Kyler Murray etc. Here's how I see them: Tier 1A: Mahomes and Rodgers Tier 1B: Josh Allen Tier 2A: Herbert and Burrow Tier 2B: Stafford and Jackson Russell Wilson??? Tier 3: Tanny, Murray, Dak, Carr, Cousins Tier 4: Matt Ryan, Mac Jones Tier 5: Lawrence, Hurts Tier 6: journeyman scrubs like Heinicke, Wentz, and raw 1st rounders like Fields and Lance
