GoBills808
Taylor is the only QB I can think of who somehow manages to get his terrible play attributed to ‘bad luck’ 7
Billznut
Doubtful this will help that. All Lynn is doing now is getting Herbert valuable experience that will benefit the NEXT head coach of the Chargers.
blacklabel
There was no way Lynn could've gone back to Taylor after how Herbert has played. I'd rather deal with Herbert throwing a pick here and there but still pushing it down the field than Taylor who sees the big throw but pulls it down and dumps it off. Sucks for Tyrod, eff that doctor, man. I wonder if he'll be pursuing some sort of compensation or something for that.

Ethan in Cleveland
I'm surprised Herbert has played so well. He put ip big numbers at Oregon but moslty against patsies. Never delivered a signature win until his senior year and the RoseBowl. Even then he did more damage running than throwing. By all accounts a super nice kid. Wish him well. Even if he regresses Lynn is making the right choice sticking with him now that he had played well.

RobbRiddick
If I'm the new Jets head coach, first thing I do is trade for Tyrod. Next thing I do is draft a QB and announce Tyrod as the starter. Pretty much guaranteed Tyrod will walk into a revolving door or drop a piano on his foot the day before the opening game and my rookie will come in and play well. 1

msw2112
I like Tyrod and feel bad for him. Wally Pipped again. Really bad luck for Tyrod, but the fact is that these young guys who are getting the chance are playing better than he is capable of, so it's only a matter of time in these situations. I could see Tyrod going to yet another team with a newly drafted QB and being named the starter for a few weeks and losing the job again (let's hope it won't be injury-related next time). It's his "pattern," just like Fitz has his own "pattern." Rinse and repeat.

RobbRiddick
Tyrod still has a good rep with a lot of the media. They're so amazed by his low INT % that they assume it's because he's good. Bills fans can testify that the real reason is because he's frustratingly conservative with the ball. He seems like a nice guy but he was murder to watch play

He’s a great backup/fringe starter.

Stads
I'll be the one to spread a rumor that the team doctor was paid extra to "accidentally" puncture Tyrod's lung. They saw in practices that Herbert passed Tyrod and they wanted to let Tyrod be a sympathetic figure. This way, other teams see Tyrod as a potential starter, thus increasing his trade value. Or we have a "s*** happens" scenario on our hands.

I think their way is much more sophisticated. A medical procedure gone wrong is plausible. Unless they were giving Tyrod a pain shot in his ribs and somehow his leg was amputated. That would raise some questions

FLFan
The “injury” was a really bad break for Taylor but he is getting paid very good money and it’s not like more games as a starter were suddenly going to propel him to the hall of fame, or even another starting job once Hebert inevitably took over.
