Malazan
I'll refrain from the let's see Allen do it for a season before we anoint him (I think he will be very good). Either way, No. It won't be possible. The NFL is currently undergoing to a revolution at the QB position. After years and years of suck, there's a lot of good young QBs. Manny/Brady were clearly in a tier of their own during their time. Right now how could you possibly say that Wilson, Rodgers, Jackson aren't included in that tier?
Thurman#1
Yeah. Or not. The only sure thing is that it's way way way too early to spend brain time on something that is a guess that we wouldn't know about for another several years. BruceVilanch
I'm as impressed as anyone with his start, but lets give it at least half a season of these type of performances before we put him with Mahomes, his main rivalry right now should be Cam since he seems like his only competition at QB in the AFCE (Sorry fitz)
NewEra
Gonna be Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Deshaun, Burrow and Trevor Lawrence playing for the Jets battling for the next decade+ Herbert might be in the mix as well. The kid looked like the real deal, throwing for 300+ in his first game, vs the SB champs, on 1 hours notice.
billsfan89
Josh had two great to good games against two bad teams. I get it that good to great QB's beat up on bad teams. But I am not crowing Josh just yet. Let's see how he does against an OK Rams defense and then go from there. I like Josh a lot, super likeable and progressing a lot. But until he puts it together consistently against better teams I am holding off on the crown for now. 4 minutes ago, NewEra said: Gonna be Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Deshaun, Burrow and Trevor Lawrence playing for the Jets battling for the next decade+ Herbert might be in the mix as well. I already think Mahomes and Deshaun are there, Lamar likely will be there and Josh is knocking on the door. Burrow and Herbert are interesting possibilities and I think Cam has a nice run in NE unfortunately maybe even Tua might be a solid QB.
LABILLBACKER
All I know is if Trevor Lawrence lands in the AFC, it will daunting to get to the SB with all these qbs. But with Josh I like our chances....

BillsToast
I think the difference is Allen always has the highest upside of all the QBs in the league, but also had the lowest floor. The difference is his floor went WAY up this year, and the ceiling is basically uncharted because there is no limit at this point. Has there ever been a QB this big, fast, and insane arm? Mahomes has a big arm, but Allen's is bigger. Mahomes is athletic, but Allen is more athletic. Mahomes has proven more with his arm live in games. If Allen can catch up he still has a higher ceiling than Mahomes which is freaking scary. He's basically Big Ben 4.0: stronger, faster, bigger arm and NOW more accurate. Ahhh... scary. MJS
I'd like to see Allen win some playoff games. Can't be considered elite until you do that.

Rk_Bills86
I said this in another thread and I'll just expand slightly on it. It feels like Mahomes/Lamar are the next Brady/Manning, Josh Allen imo feels like the next Big Ben, and Watson kind of feels like the next Rivers. Keep in mind I'm saying this not only looking at the QB abilities but the teams they play for and how they are built. The season is young and this could all change, but that's how I currently see things.
machine gun kelly
It’s very difficult to tell as all of them are young, and that rivalry develops organically. I can see though the emergence in the AFC for fun games to talk about are Mahomes and Jackson this week. Watson, Allen, and he hasn’t started playing yet, but a possible emerging AB after we see a year or two from now is Tua. Now most AL QB’s don’t seem to translate their game into the NFL, but he was amazing. Just like it’s too early to tell on Burrows. That team just needs way too much help. Charles Romes
Unfortunately, the next gen QB talent seems to be tilted to the AFC. Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Watson. Praying for Lawrence to land in the NFC.

Lamar has 479 passing yards in 2 games. 239.5 per game in 2020 In 2019 he averaged 208 passing YPG. Lamar is NOT a passing QB. He's just been fortunate enough for defenses to spy on him and leave players wide open to score TD's. He has the Greg Roman offense, heavy on the run with a competent QB not afraid to pass the ball. Dragoon
I believe Josh Allen is a franchise QB but I still won’t say it aloud for fear of jinxing the team. The drought really messed with me. Still scared to say we’re good.

Surprised the league still hasn't figured him out.
SoCal Deek
I’m just happy to see the torch being passed. I’m totally bored with Brady, Brees, Rivers etc all hanging on for so long. They’ve all just figured out how to survive in the new rules of NFL standing back there and dumping the ball off (or grounding it) so that by the end of the game they don’t even need a shower. It’s not good for the sport. Time to move on.
