Solid not great player but considering we have him as much as Collins getting guaranteed not a horrible signing but would have preferred a Jordan Jenkins. He's smart, diagnoses plays well, can play zone, and is a great locker room guy. Sounds familiar, doesn't it. He'll never be a star, but he fits what Sean McDermott wants to do on defense. Makes sense, Edmund's weaker skillset seems to be when he is ran straight at up the A gaps. Never thought about this seems very smart to allow him to have an angle as much as possible. I am not against picking him up as such but my guess is it is another Beane contract with an easy 1 year out. He knows the system, the question is how good is he?
