Inigo Montoya
VIC FANGIO, DENVER BRONCOS According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Broncos coach Vic Fangio has had a "difficult time" connecting with players and coaches, leading to "internal tension" within the organization. Fangio's debut season in Denver has largely been a disaster as the first-time head coach has reportedly rubbed many the wrong way with his "gruff demeanor," creating a tense atmosphere characterized by "internal strife." Per La Canfora has often been at odds with his assistants, continually disputing play-calls while coming off as "overbearing on the headsets." Many in the organization feel Fangio lacks "people skills," making for a "difficult climate." Fangio's hard-nosed approach reportedly alienated Emmanuel Sanders, who "in essence walked out on the team" prior to being traded. Beleaguered GM John Elway whiffed on Vance Joseph and the move to Fangio doesn't seem to be going much better. The Broncos are a team in turmoil. It doesn't sound like they have a good locker room right now. Let's hope they bring a bit of that 3-7 dysfunction to New Era next week. DRA3196
Quote So a team that hasn't had the success they expected this season, has internal strife, has their backs against the wall and is now playing the Bills at New Era and is looking to save their season. Where have I heard this story before? Weren't the Eagles...hmmm...ok well about those CLE Browns.... yeah...I thought so.

Not that this will be an "easy" game, but this is the primary difference between them and the Eagles and Browns. Also, the Browns didn't come into New Era -- we lost a close game on the road. This is a game the Bills should win and need to win, and it is a more likely win than the Browns or the Eagles. Hopefully they do.

Sometimes a great player is not the best to identify talent; because they expect everyone to be at their level in their playing time. Good examples are Elway and Jordan.
PaattMaann
JLC's report has been beat back by several local Broncos beat writers, and Cecil Lammey (footballguys.com and local broncos radio guy) - who went on a twitter diatribe yesterday against that report, saying JLC has no friggin clue what he hes talking about, and that the locker room is actually pretty tight and behind Fangio and his "process". As a head.coach you are CEO of a team...people have to want to follow you. If they don't you are doomed. Also I'd like to point out that Elway is a terrible GM other than his move to lure Manning there.
The Frankish Reich
1 hour ago, Inigo Montoya said: It's nice not to be the dysfunctional franchise for a change... That part is correct. And here in Colorado Broncos fans recognize it. But as bad as Fangio's debut as a 60-something HC has been: - the Broncos have lost 3 games in the final 22 seconds (partly bad coaching/clock management, partly bad luck), and that doesn't include yesterday - as bad as the O line and QB situation has been they've still been able to run the ball effectively most of the time. Lindsay and Freeman are a really good 1-2 punch - the D is still formidable, and Von Miller appeared to wake up yesterday, and Shelby Harris is emerging as a playmaker on the D line - Elway has generally been a big fail as a GM, but he has put together some real young talent at skill position on offense: Courtland Sutton is moving into the top tier of WRs, and they got back another 2018 draft pick in Tim Patrick that gives them 2 big receivers that cause some matchup problems (if only a QB could get them the ball reliably ...). Noah Fant has had a difficult adjustment to the NFL, but he's an uber talented athlete at TE. So this is a team that is not to be taken lightly. The weird thing is how slowly they're trying to work in Drew Lock at QB, almost as if they see something really problematic in his development that fans haven't been able to see yet ....
