1st Ammendment NoMas
Years ago it used to ruin my Sunday if they lost. Now it takes about an hour or so to get over it. There's been over 400 that Ive witnessed and I don't want to lose a year of my life feeling sad over the Bills decades of ineptitude. LSHMEAB
I guess I'll amend that and say that there seemed to that ONE annual loss during the drought where you pretty much knew the Bills were not going to the playoffs. That one always hurt a bit. This year was pretty much a tank so none of them were rough.

msw2112
A regular season loss bothers me for a day or two. Usually it makes me a little grumpy on Monday, then I let it go. A playoff loss when there are no expectations (see last season) is about the same as a regular season game. Other playoff losses (the Giants Super Bowl, the Dallas SB where we led at the half and the Music City throwback game) still bother me to this day.

Yoho
I guess it has a positive impact especially if it is a TV game. After a loss I will be frustrated and will turn off football for a little while I will go take a long walk to work it off. When they win I just enjoy it by watching the next game and enjoy the scrolling of the scores of a Bills win. Walking > couch potato
ChattanoogaBills
I used to be sad after a loss i think mainly because when i first started watching football in 1990 buffalo always seemed to ***** victory from the jaws of defeat. Then when i started gambling i would win all week (usually) and get to the finale day sunday and put it all on the bills to cover and lose it all. Now ive created a formula where i bet on buffalo every week and come out like a champ using 4 team 12 point teasers. I won big of both new England vs buffalo games this year as an example. Buffalo only let me down once maybe twice i think green bay and the first miami games this year. I seem to feel alot better if buffalo loses but i win money by betting the bills games. JoshAllenHasBigHands
I will not let a loss affect my day. If I hadn't made that affirmative decision, I would be a total jerk. But I can't go so far down this rabbit hole that I start acting like a total jerk or let myself slip into a bad mood.
richardb1952
Depends on how they lose. I hate loses caused by missed tackles, penalties, WR drops. When they win, I'll be on this web site, I'll review the recap, and highlights and all is good with the world When they lose, I will not listen to John Murphy show for about 3 days. Logic
If they "deserved" to lose, it doesn't affect me too much any more. If they lost because of a really bad call from the refs or because they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory (known in our household as "pulling a Bills"), then I'm in a pretty ***** mood for a few days. I tend to dwell on these types of losses until about Friday, when I can turn the page to the next game. Weirdly enough, a Bills WIN rarely affects the rest of my week at all. Losses hurt way worse than wins feel good.
Wilton Bills
Season ticket holder from 1985. Drive 5 hours to each home game in the motorhome and stay in the Camper Lot. Monday is always the drive day home. Our group up later after a Bills win which makes the day a wee bit tough!!. The Super Bowl years were absolutely crazy. Our group comes various parts. Ontario, Conecticut, Rochester and Maine! True blue Bills fans and love the Sunday night victory party!!!!

WhoTom
It's supposed to be entertainment. I'm happy when they win, I'm bummed when they lose, but life goes on either way. In both cases, my contribution was sitting on the couch drinking a Bloody Mary, so I don't take wins or losses personally. I will say this: after a loss, I tend to remind myself that I have a lot to be happy about, in spite of the fact that my favorite team stinks.

DCbillsfan
Been a fan for a long time so it's been a process. Ha! When I was younger, a bills loss would bother me a couple of days. Now I'm over it in a couple of hours. The trick for me is to be productive before the game. Yard work, laundry, clean, etc. Also I DVR the game and usually don't watch it live. If I'm productive before the game I don't feel like I wasted the day if the bills lose. Edited February 1, 2019 by DCbillsfan

CommonCents
When the team I love trots out Nate Peterman it puts things in perspective. Just let it ride baby. I am hopeful that Allen is the real deal, I was before the draft and still am. But if he flames out that won’t hurt like them drafting EJ. You just get numb to it after while, it’s all about fun, food, and lots of beverages. Speaking of that, we need a SB recipe thread. I don’t know what I want to cook yet. These two comments summarize my feelings. My wife used to get nervous if the Bills lost because that meant I’d be in a bad mood. About three or four years ago that stopped. However, I still don't like to watch other games after a Bills loss, because it just reminds me of the loss, and I won’t want to see any stats or highlights of the game.

TheBrownBear
It bothered me a lot back in the days when they were competitive. It would basically ruin my Sunday and Monday. But by the mid-00s I had started caring a whole lot less and could even stomach missing a game here or there if I had another engagement. After my first child was born in 2009, I didn't really care much at all. This year a loss didn't bother me in the slightest. And I basically forgot about it the second I turned off the game. I expect that to change when we actually field a true playoff caliber team again. Then I'm sure I'll have more of that "live and die with them" attitude. BuffaloBillies
Crushes the day of. My wife knows to stay away (not that I'd do ANYTHING violent, just that I'm a jerk and short to be around). On Sunday night and Monday I can't look at any sports shows. By Tuesday I start to think of the next game and what might need to happen (win/loss of other teams) to "make up" for their latest loss. Lately, by game 10 or so (other than 2017), when there is no chance of playoffs, it doesn't bother me nearly as much. First 8-10 weeks of the season I'm way too jacked up. I have such high hopes, and when they go down, I'm severely deflated. It's a disease. I want all 16 weeks to matter for many years to come. I love Bills Sunday. It's literally my favorite thing.
