  1. 1. With Zay practicing and after the Coleman trade do you think Bills should pursue Dez?

For the record I wanted no part of Dez before the Coleman trade and no part of him now.  He is a less skilled and older version of KB.  He has no ability to get deep and still doesn't run good routes.  He is probably more physically imposing than any WR on the Bills roster, maybe even more so than every TE not named Clay.  Still as a WR I don't see how he adds much to the WR group as it is now constructed.  But as he is still available I was curious to see the board's view at this point.

I never really cared for the guy.

Anyone that would punch his mother in the mouth is not the kind of player you want around your young players.

Remember when JJ had to put a special security/babysitter on him?

For the 1000th time no let the Browns sign him,it seems like the Brownsie thing to do.

I think even if Dez is only 60% of the receiver he was in his prime, he'd still be the best WR on this team other than Benjamin.  I think he could put up 1-2 good years here like what T.O. did at the end of his career.  But I don't think the Bills are close to competing for a Superbowl this year, and I'm not sure what 1-2 years of an aging receiver at the end of his career does for this team at the moment other than eat up salary cap space and take reps away from younger WRs.

Dez would make sense to some team like NE, PIT, GB, ATL, MINN if one of them winds up with a major WR injury.

Don’t underestimate Kerley

Not process material.

I think this is the biggest factor.

I don't think McD has brought in a poor character guy yet, from my knowledge.

The biggest thing with to Dez would be the contract motivation, because you do a "1 year prove it deal" and let him earn his next contract.

Need to realize though that he won't be staying, as he'd be using us as a stopgap.

After getting Coleman I say no, and I was okay with him earlier in the off-season, but Coleman and Zay back practicing makes me rethink it.

Interesting statement.  I think 60% Dez is about 50-55 catches for 700 or so yards and roughly 5-6 TDs.  Certainly better stats than any other veteran WR on Buffalo's roster besides Benjamin can point to (Kerley is the closest), but the culture fit isn't there and I think Zay and the other young guys (including Coleman) have more upside.

This regime isn't into the Russ Brandon "splash" signings like T.O. and I'd say the chances of this happening are less than 5%.

Remember what Anquan Boldin looked like?

No thanks. He’s a name.  That name is of a guy that was good.

How many times does this have to be asked....

Does it not strike anyone here as odd that IF he's such a good player he'd be picked up already?  nahhh, too much to ask.

He's not just a diva, sorry count, he's a devisive individual who creates problems with both players and coaches, then sprinkle on top the fact management doesn't want to deal with him.  The days of douchebag divas running the show may be fading.

Sorry OP, it's a hard NO.  And yeah, he's not that great anymore either.  If the Bills did do the unthinkable and bring this un-polished turd in here, I'd root against him.

- Hasn't had a 1k receiving season in three years.

- Was among the league leader in drops this past season

- Does not get seperation.

- Very limited route tree, hes basically a jump ball specialist, who hasnt truly excelled in recent years in tightly contested balls.

I don't mind his attitude, but i don't want him just because I don't think he is all that good anymore.  In week 1 he might be better than some of our younger guys..but the young guys on this team will be getting better as time goes on...Dez is on his way down.
