He was playing pretty well He was very solid for them and though chargers had nothing to play for and he wouldn’t be back next year ($$) it was surprise that late in season. Best guess in internal issue from quotes "It was a [situation] where myself and [interim general manager] JoJo [Wooden], just in talking really, the easiest way to say is that it was just in the best interest for the team. Other stuff I’d rather just keep in-house, but we wish him the best. I hope he does well in San Francisco and that everybody moves on." After signing with niners: “I think I’ll keep those comments to myself,” Joseph-Day told Bay Area reporters. “I’m lucky to be here. It’s a new opportunity. I’m just thankful to be part of this organization. I’m focused on that right now. I’m just thankful I’m in a great situation with a great team and a lot of great players.”

Scary thought. He's 5 inches taller and 115 pounds heavier than I am, yet has a faster 40 time. So I couldn't even run from him. Damn. machine gun kelly
On 3/15/2024 at 6:04 PM, JohnBonhamRocks said: 2018 Draft Profile: Overview Three-year starter with an excellent motor to go along with above average toughness. Joseph's athletic ability and quickness serve him well as a run defender, but he is unlikely to be much of a factor as a pass rusher on the next level. Joseph will need to add mass, but he's got a shot to fit into a rotation as either a three-technique or shade nose in a 4-3 defense. Strengths Plays with very good quickness off the snap. Impressive 4.97 forty at his pro day with a 10-yard split to match. Quick hands, strong hands. Flashes two-gap sensibilities with ability to punch, spy, and disengage. Plus agility to scrape along the line to mirror the runner. Explosive lateral burst to snare running backs from the backside. Never stagnant with relentless motor. Good feel for blocking schemes and attacks his attacker. Makes impact tackles near the line of scrimmage. Weaknesses Lacks pass rush production relative to his athletic ability. Was often subbed out on obvious passing downs. Has played nose at Rutgers and could face move to three-technique in pros. Could use more mass and anchor at the point of attack. Can be stalemated when facing quality strength across from him. Was unable to impose his will against Michigan State's Brian Allen. Needs twists and games to help him get off the mark as a rusher. This was good. Thanks.

Amazed he got a 2 yr deal from the Texans. Not a lot of real good D lineman in today’s NFL. Everybody raves about a lot of these guys at the combine. Who cares what a 300 pound man runs in the 40. When are they ever sprinting 40 yards in a game? And if they are, the guy they are chasing is way faster anyways. I want guys who make plays. Are productive. Are mean and are tough. Good solid football players. Football used to be a gladiator sport. Where did that go? Has McDermott ever said? We are going to kick the crap out of the Chiefs for 60 minutes. I am glad we resigned Taylor Rapp if for no other reason that he liked trying to hurt players on the other team. So did Dodson. And Milano plays like that. My son played college football like that. Anytime he could get an extra shot on someone he took it. Played the game like a street brawl. He took it and he gave it. Toughness should still matter. Football should not be track or baseball. I so wish that someone would just light Mahomes up when he saunters out of bounds. It’s a joke. The boy needs his clock cleaned. It’s worth a 15 yard flag and maybe a $20k fine. Where is Kiko Alonso when you need him?! Probably passed out on some person’s house he doesn’t know. The same thing happened to my son when he played college ball at Syracuse. At least he didn’t get arrested. I swear to god. Have a good night everyone. Shout out to Fire Chan. I love the way he posts. 🏈🏈🤘🤘

Process
34 minutes ago, HappyDays said: The DT market is as thin as could be right now. Who is even still out there? Signing a S is becoming a must (Blackmon hopefully). Fill that need before the draft. Still have needs at WR DE DT. Draft WR DL DL DL first four picks. RB OL and DB depth at the end of the draft.
gonzo1105
41 minutes ago, HappyDays said: The DT market is as thin as could be right now. Who is even still out there? This is why I keep saying DT is a huge need. Yes we have the starters but there is nothing behind them. The value at 28 seems to be trending towards matching with the Bills as well. Very possible one of Murphy and Newton are there or a trade down to take someone like Fiske. I know everyone loves the WR first round train but it’s not a necessity anymore with the Samuel signing. We can get one at the end of round
