EDIT: Just watched the video @KDIGGZ posted. I know there have been numerous McDonald All Americans who have flamed out in college, but Curry’s free fall as the number one recruit in the nation was pretty hard to fathom. Cook is going to drop passes his whole career and all the jugs work isn't going to help much. When researching Cook for his draft, and then after we drafted him, my hope has been that he be used like Kamara. Is he the same player? No, obviously not. 2003Contenders Posted February 7 Share Posted February 7 I like that he has experience (both as a player and coach) with QBs as well as WRs. Obviously with Brady's promotion there is a void at the QB coach position, and the receivers haven't been the same since Chad Hall left. So maybe Curry can help solidify there. I am also all for bringing in a smart guy who can help with concepts for the passing game -- and hopefully work with Brady to devise schemes and routes that will allow our receivers to get open and get decent RAC numbers. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Last time I checked, didn't the offense that Brady ran at LSU have a lot of Paytons concepts? A few Cook drops definitely stick out! I meant more projecting Cook to the NFL before his rookie season, but… Last year, Kamara caught 75/86 (~87% and by far highest of his career which averages 79%) for 466 yards over 13 games played (~6 catches & 36 yards per game & 6.6 yards per target). Cook caught 44/54 (~82%) for 445 yards over 17 games played (~3 catches & 26 yards per game & 7.3 yards per target). I think they are pretty similar with a slight edge to Kamara last year. I never thought he was a great QB, but I didn’t realize he was such a huge douche. I don’t think I’ve seen such a barely mediocre player who loved to show up teammates and coaches to the extent that that asshat does.
