Do we win that game with Tua playing?

IDK

Who cares. Simulate it on Madden, if you want if you want to talk yourself into feeling terrible.

There aren’t extra byes awarded for winning by 30.  We are in the exact same spot as last year, except with a home game.  Onward.

I’ll talk positive takeaways for me (because I’m running low on my meds):

Elam’s play today gives me hope;

I actually noticed Edmunds in more positive ways than I can recall;

Shakir flashed good and bad might be a keeper (though he hasn’t had many chances);

We tackled players; and

We get to play another game!!!!

Unless he told Allen/WRs to intentionally throw INTs and fumble then I have an issue with this.

My only real critique is being so aggressive with the lead in the 4th Q. I don’t know if that was in the game plan or an adjustment to the heavy pressure Miami was bringing, but I would have rather Motor/Cook see if they can get 8 yards on first and second, and then on third and short make them easier pick up

He’s the head coach. He has the power to step in if the game isn’t being called the way he would like. That’s  a big part of his job.

This and his horribly called timeouts…he was an absolute disaster.

We're in trouble if Cincinnati wins.  Burrow is going to shred this defense.

17 points off of turnovers.

I don’t have a lot of negatives about the defense. The offense did them no favors today. Especially in the second half.

A lot of it comes down to execution from players. Not saying Dorsey is without any blame, but Josh Allen and other players have to take some blame too.

Josh chooses where to throw the ball, you know. He is the one choosing to throw it deep time after time. He needs to take his check downs more often.

Josh had one turnover on him….the fumble. But John Brown and Beasley are responsible for the other two.

Why are we throwing 50 yard bombs on 3rd and short. Get this stuff sewn up. But…another playoff win. We went almost 30 years without one not too long ago, not going to complain. Onto the next

Because Josh sees those are plays are there to be made and he has free rein to attempt to make them. Last week he made a couple, this week he missed a couple. That said, there are better times than others to try those plays and 3rd and short at that juncture of the game is just not a good time. Josh needs to be smarter there.

I saw a pregame segment on how Joe Burrow protects the ball so well.  I believe someone at Ohio State worked with him when he was there.  They should start coaching Josh up in that area.

Josh had that ball out there like a loaf of bread while running.  I get he's a strong dude and can palm a basketball, but it makes me nerrrrvous!

Guys got no 8alls on 3rd down. 4 man rush, everyone else in zone. This is why so many 3rd and longs get converted.

To be clear, it’s not his lack of blitz, it’s the keep everything in front of you defense. Burrow and Mahomes will chew that up.

Again, mostly dominated the Phins’ O and the stats back that up.

If you’re talking a lot about bad defense post game, then you’re not taking away the real issue here, which is that Buffalo struggles to handle a quality front.

And Dorsey needs to stick with the run at times,  especially when Josh needs to settle down

Two drives in the 4th where we're just chucking the ball down the left sideline.

I thought they were showing a replay a couple times but nope.  It was actually just Madden ball play calling.

McDermott talks about complimentary football and the offense they ran today was the exact opposite of that.

Wait - my kid did simulate it on madden with Tua playing this morning and bills won 35-21. Egregious!

Oh I know, your phrasing made it sound like they didn't just do the thing that you described. They realistically could have put up potentially 50 against the Dolphins today.

Yea agreed without those Turnovers this just isn’t a game.

But the Bills do struggle woth protection, and long term if you struggle with that, you turn the ball over

Which McD? Ours or theirs?

If ours, I agree. He will never win the AFCCG or SB IMO. He just doesn't have it when it really matters in very high pressure critical playoff situations. He sucks at timeouts, challenges and lets his OC and QB play stupid.

Allen also has an ego about him, he will give his "I need to play better" quotes after the game but then go right back out next time and do the same stupid crap.  He is who he is by now, he's not changing.

Yup I meant ours. Theirs might not have made every single great call but they took us to the edge in the playoffs in his first season with a nobody QB on the road vs a coach that’s in year 6 of his plan.

That’s just ugly.

It's the consecutive deep shots that get us behind the sticks that bothers me. We need to go into dink and dunk mode sometimes.

Bills might be home underdogs next week the way they played today... A win is a win I guess. Certainly know one will be overconfident next week..

No way. Bills a -1.5 with Cincy at home.

The spreads have been way way off on Bills games this whole year. I thought the spread on this game was out of control.

I put my money on Miami to cover and it payed. That’s how much faith I had in the Bills.  Knew they weren’t covering that.

Sky Sports on the game: It was like a really good rollercoaster. You had moments of excitement, moments of feeling sick but you get off and think "Wow, that was an excellent experience".

Safe to say the presenter is not a Bills or Dolphins fan! 😁 Though I'm not sure who he supports.

I’ll just say this - everyone’s worst case doom

and gloom how does this keep happening to us version of the Bills would have lost this game.

We didn’t.  We won.  Take from that whatever you want.  I didn’t expect this game to be easy.  The Dolphins were only in this game because of Allen’s fumble and a bad break Shakir drop.

Breaking out the Makers Mark - enjoying the rest of this stress free football evening and another playoff victory in the Allen era.

To be far this win against Miami is very satisfying know they felt they had a chance, only to ***** it away and send them home with a moral victory.

Unfortunately for them moral victories don't count in the post season😂😂😂

and here i was thinking i may never smile again lollllllllllllllll

My take aways:

Dolphins deserve respect, we are a superior team in almost every way and they played tough. But the bills beat the bills while the Dolphins watched today.

Every team is now going to blitz the living ***** out to the bills.

Was there no adjustment for the blitz? Or was it the Dolphins knowing the bills WRs will change routes based on leverage and were willing to give the deep shot leverage and bait josh into deep ball shots all game knowing saffold is a revolving door? Or was josh refusing to check the ball down?

From now on just give opposing teams the first if it's 3rd and long, no point in trying.

If anyone wants to get even more angry, watch saffold every play. There's times he's standing knees locked looking around lost while josh is running for his life.

On the bright side this team didn't fold when EVERYTHING was going wrong. They stuck out another gross win and stayed relatively healthy.

If Allen would stick with it and not get antsy to take a shot... he's be the best QB in the league. The deep shots are killing this team. They seem to outright refuse to throw a pass less than ten yards at times.
