Just with we could get the home field advantage, especially the bye week to help the banged up guys and help with the overall fatigue/wear and tear of a long season.  There is just something magical (dark magic) about KC in the playoffs for Buffalo.  Not sure we'll ever win there as long as Mahomes and Reid are there.

So they never gunna beat them then?… because those two ain’t going anywhere

Playoffs...probably not, unless the Chiefs get hit with insane injuries one year or some serious bad luck during the game.  After last year, it's hard to imagine how we would beat them there.  Score 50 points?

Looks like the over/under for Josh rushing yards tomorrow is 48.5. I would definitely bet the over on that. He always runs more in the “big” or “must win” games. I would say tomorrow night definitely falls under that distinction. Look for Josh to run early and often on Monday night.

3 seed is going to suck. But at least they would avoid an AFCE team in the playoffs.

Mentioned many times… AFCE teams treated games against us like their Super Bowl. They are all .500 teams. Beat Cincinnati and we should start rolling no matter who we play.

This is crap. The Bills lost to them twice. In the AFCC the Bills were not ready. The Chefs were just better. Last year though anyone could see that the Bills deserved that win, they CAN beat them. Chefs got very lucky with the whole 13 secs BS. and if you think the Bills can’t beat the chefs at Arrowhead you haven’t been paying attention.

Yea the Bengals  can avoid a horrible dolphins, Jets, or Patriots sitting in the 3 seed.

Right? Lots of chicken little fans here afraid of almost everyone! Bring on whomever. The only bad scenario is if the Bills have to play BOTH bengals and Chiefs. That’s a tough out.

I doubt anyone is giving up on the season if they lose tomorrow … just some pre game hysteria ..

A win is of course Ideal. When i think “must win” its a mindset, not a catastrophe 😁

The season doesn't end with a loss, for sure.

I think, if nothing more than for the sake of saying there's continuous improvement, which is something of a McDermott mantra, we need to win, and go on to be the #1 seed.

I believe it's been something of our 'secondary' objective, the first being to win the division.

if we get the 1 seed

We get a week to rest and heal

Then we are looking at either the chargers or jags/titans if we get the #1 seed. (Barring a major upset, which would also be good for us)

This is game really is big. I expect the both teams to come to play, but the Bills are a team of destiny!

I'm guessing plenty of 4 wide....Diggs/Davis/combo of Bease/ Shakir/Knox and Cook out of the backfield. Josh needs to start taking those checkdowns /screens, move the chains and take those deep shots against that Cincy secondary. Time for Diggs to get AFC player of the week.

On defense I think they should sprinkle in some 4-3 and not be afraid to blitz. I know Burrow this and Burrow that against the blitz, Bla,bla, bla. Make him throw those 50/50 balls in a hurry and see what we can do. Give him the Mike White treatment. Take the 15, I don't care.

If I did film study for the Bengals which game should I watch to give me a full idea?

Jets are the mist Zone heavy scheme they have faced all year, they have faced a pile of Man heavy teams.

Not sure our defense and the Jets are similar on the line, but should give you an idea of how they attack zone coverage.

I want to see why the bengals lost to the browns on October 30th

Because the Line was terrible, burrow was sacked like 6x, no chase, couldn't convert 3rd downs. Burrow was under duress the whole game

Bengals line has improved first 8 games 29 sacks allowed, last 8 only 10

Alright.

I thought with the spread that the talking heads would land about 50/50.

But at least a little love our way.

The predictions I saw, like 8 ppl had Bengals winning by a combined 13 points or something. No one has ball$ enough to say anything but very close win, which protects them if they were wrong.

Are the Bengals trying to just give the Bills defense bulletin board material or what?"

Based on tonight's game so far, I sure hope not!!

One thing about the Bengals:  They have been pretty bad this year when it comes to dealing with scrambling QBs.  From that perspective alone, Allen is a nightmare matchup for them.  Also, this is primetime Allen.  He's gonna gash 'em for big chunks on the ground and then make 'em pay downfield.

Morse is back.

The weather is good.

The Defense will be motivated by all the trash talk.

Buffalo WILL be able to run against the Bengals.

Diggs are Knox are gonna have big games.

Sure, the Bengals are the media darlings right now, but the Bills are a top tier team that has been wisely keeping their mouths shut.  The silence is deafening.

Bills 35.  Bengals 24.

Let's just kick their ass.

there is a whole lotta verbal mumbo jumbo going on regarding 2nd and 3rd seed. Maybe lets play Cinci and see where we stand? The Bills control their own destiny for a change  but you wouldnt know it by reading here JUST WIN Buffalo and quiet the doubters

that is all

I hope the Bills use a change up and dress Cole AND Brown even if that means sitting the kid since they aren’t throwing to him anyway. The Bengals play dime man on 3rd downs, so stretch the field with Brown and Gabe and make them Cover Diggs / Cole / McKenzie over the middle with their young corners. I know it’s Browns last call up in the regular season without being put on the squad but we don’t need him next week.

He got on the plane?

Did he?  Didn’t see him in the pics

BTW pretty sure that’s Roger Saffold walking next to Josh Allen, and if so holy Toledo it explains how he gets pushed around, he looks no bigger than Allen.  He does not look like a top OLman

He's in the boarding video at about 22 seconds in.

100% not Saffold walking next to Josh in the photos.  Not sure who it is, but it's not Roger.

Saffold is built like a truck, not like a WR/DB.

Edit: took another look at the boarding photos, and looked like Dean Marlowe walking next to Josh.

I think it was one of the Cover 1 guys talking about 3-man rushes out of a blitz look that has consistently given Burrow trouble all season.

Usually it takes a defeat for the Bills to make an adjustment to their zone heavy schemes so I'm not sure we'll see much of it this go-round.

Conversely, Allen had been one of the worst QBs against the blitz this season ... I think like 30th out of 35 qualified passers. I do think the Bengals DC is great at finding a team's weakness. That's not against pressure, where he's been really good. That in itself is an odd stat.

I'm really curious how the two defenses adjust and play the opposing QBs in this game.

They’re putting Shakir on the field a fair amount recently  - 16,12 , 22, 25 snaps or 20-39%

They have to be liking something he’s doing for them - maybe blocking down field?  You can’t expect a lot of blocking from McKenzie, Cole, and Brown or as Beane once said “the Smurfs”

OK, I saw the glimpse that time.  In the white puffer jacket.

You see what I mean about Saffold though?  Seriously, he looks like a TE

Should Elam be matched up against Chase? Or we going with White?

I can’t say for sure, but it would make sense that he would be out there to block.  The other guys are useless. Maybe that will be a wrinkle we’re saving-  teams may read run when he’s out there….. then bang, go deep!
