Not only talking sacks, but pressure to make the QB get rid of the ball under duress. Rousseau is a loss but are we not carrying 9 DLs for a reason? Let's get to the QB and force some turnovers. Frazier needs to come up with something new today to address this. I'm not sure the excuse is getting old. Hamlin and Johnson together are a serious liability, mainly due to Johnson it appears. mannc Posted November 13, 2022 Share Posted November 13, 2022 (edited) This game is going to tell us a lot about the Bills’ coaching…a banged up team, coming off a tough loss to a division opponent, Dolphins and Jets nipping at our heels, and of course all the Josh Allen drama this week, against a good Vikings team. Johnson has made some mistakes and missed some tackles. We all get that. But we won games with them. It is past the time for this defense to show some new looks and do some different things. Playing the same nickel formation every snap is getting predictable, especially with a depleted secondary. Frazier and McD have to figure out how to win with the players they have. Having a subpar second half against the Packers, then losing to the Jets, then the very real possibility of QB1 missing the game .... It all really made me step back and appreciate -- and for a moment, focus on not taking for granted -- this Bills team and this quarterback. This game is about as high drama and storyline-rich is a regular season game gets. 7-1 at 6-2. Good on good. Dalvin Cook vs James Cook. Jefferson vs Diggs. The Vikings d isn’t great but zadarious smith and Hunter will be a challenge and will give our tackles fits. Jaquan Johnson has started 3 games with Hamlin: -Miami (L - and we seemed to be protecting the DBs by playing ball-control offense) -Pittsburg (W, but Pickett passed for 327 yds and showed why they're 27th in the league rushing) -Jets (L - in which we could not stop the run) He played some snaps vs Tennessee when the game was put-away, and some snaps vs Green Bay when we let them back in it rushing. Edmunds has missed one game, vs Pittsburgh. I thought Dodson played capably, though we did give up a lot of passing yards. Dane Jackson has missed one game (L, Miami) It is true we have won 6 games with Tre out, but I'm not aware of the "bunch of games" we've won with Johnson and Hamlin at safety or with Jackson out and 2 rookies starting.
