I see your point but in both scenarios, the assumption is Josh is going to score most likely. Knowing that, id rather not play the defense that’s going to allow for those 10+ play drives where we play soft coverage. That’s all well and good against Mac Jones. But we are in the AFC, home of the elite QBs in the playoffs. Playing pitch and catch against soft coverage is easy for the likes of Mahomes and Burrow. Gotta be aggressive and throw then different looks to force a few stops and get Josh the ball back.
