Einstein
I’ve been watching Zappe the last couple of weeks and have been very impressed. (Try not to laugh) but I see a bit of very early Brady in him. Not the goat Brady - the Brady that was more of a game manager in 2001. Patient, calm in the pocket, smart decisions. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mac doesn’t hit the starting rotation again. He is 19/27 for 256 yards and 2 TD’s today. 2 2 7 2 1

Scott7975
He aint bad but I see just another journeyman in him to keep the Pats mediocre enough from getting a real QB and not good enough to win anything meaningful. ChicagoRic
He's a serviceable starter for now. It's always interesting to see if a young player can stay productive as the game tape starts to accrue. He does look a bit better than Mac Jones, but can he maintain it. Airseven
Zappe was an intriguing prospect and looks comfortable in his early starts. Lower floor, but he certainly has more upside than Jones. That was a smart pick.
Aurelius
I watched Zappe’s highlights from last week though. He throws up a ton of underthrown floaters. Not sure how he completes so many of them.

Scott7975
Zappe is just this years Mac Jones. I actually think he is better than Mac but he is still just an average journeyman QB that looks good behind a well coached team when there isnt much tape on him yet. Mac and Zappe are quarterbacks that will win enough to keep the Pats a mediocre team that wins too much to get better but doesnt win anything meaningful. The Pats are where the Bills were during the drought. Edited October 16, 2022 by Scott7975
JDubya76
And when there is enough tape to gameplan against him, all the talk will die down.

Maine-iac
Patriots defense makes their QB's look better because they keep it close enough the QB's can play safe. We hang a 30 burger on them and see how good he looks when he has to throw 50 times into a defense that knows he's throwing. I just bought tickets for the Thurs. night game in Foxborough and I'm hoping the stadium is half empty by the 3rd quarter because we are killing them.
