Rain could be good in a really weird way. Takes some of the energy out of the crowd (hopefully) and our defense is leagues better than theirs.

It's still expect a high score tho.

Instead of 44-33 us, I'll say 35-24 BILLS

Didn't take the Bills crowd out and KC fans are not much different.

Yeah Saturday night or Sunday morning will give a lot closer of an indication to go by. Hopefully it won't be as bad as it looks as of now.

One optimistic view of this is the weather predicted a few days ago, nonstop rain and flash flood warnings here in Atlanta.  Today is sunny.

Crowd will be in it either way. We're talking Chiefs fans, not Cowboys fans ;)

Our defense is better, but they've also squared off against Old Big Ben, Jacoby Brissett, Taylor Heinicke, and Davis Mills lol

Compared to KC who was up against Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts, we had it easy. Going from Davis Mills to Patrick Mahomes would be like going from riding a bike to being strapped into a rocket. Needless to say, they've got a HUGE challenge ahead of them.

Crazy.. I'm typically at my place in Atlanta on Fridays, where it's allegedly sunny.  Today, I'm stuck at my office in South Carolina, just 2 hours away, where it looks like it's midnight outside and pouring rain.

It rained a good bit Wednesday, a little yesterday and sunny today.  Alabama had floods and had some casualties...looks like the stronger parts of the storm died out before hitting Atlanta.

To be fair to our D it’s not like they’re completely unprepared. They go against one of the best offenses in the league pretty much every day outside of game day.

More good news, I’m headed across the country to spend the weekend with my 4 year old grandson. We’ll watch the game together. This will be the 4th time we’ve been able to do that. The other 3 games:

(1) The Miami and Andy Dalton games  at the end of the 17-18 season (he was a few months old, I almost spiked him when the Bengals scored).

(2) The Cowboy’s Thanksgiving game - Josh’s coming-out party.

(3) Last year’s game at NE. Bills crush the Pats and establish themselves at the Kings of the AFC East.

(4) Watch party scheduled at his house for the 2021 KC game. He’ll have his Josh Allen jersey on. …. ????

Just saying, good things happen.

I’m really impressed with your knowledge recently. Like moving back to Buffalo rejuvenated you.

The question I have is how sturdy are your kitchen stools? And, do you have enough for 4 of us to sit around shirtless ?

As condescending as the premise is, I’m taking that compliment and running with it.

As for the stools, you may be a bit disappointed. They do have strong legs, but there’s only room for two on the outside of the island. Plenty of room if two decide to stand, I’m cool with standing, I want my guests to be as comfortable as possible.

The shirtless part is triggering, if you know me at all, you’d know that shirts come off with the shoes as soon as you walk in the front door. Even the mere mention of shirts during a kitchen island wine chat is enough to send me into a weapon x berserker type rage.

What about socks?  Shirtless and socks on looks kinda weird and you slide on wood floors.

There’s a fine line between shirtless gents sitting around a kitchen island sipping vino and reminiscing of memories past, and dirty hippies. I’ve decided that line is socks.

You want to take your socks off, take it to burning man you carny!

Pl;tr Rain likely starts around the late 3rd quarter.

https://www.kshb.com/weather/weather-blog-sunday-monday-storm-system?_amp=true&__twitter_impression=true

The video alluded to in the link doesn't show up for me.

Here's the forcast from Weather Underground.  Click to embiggen

Currently 60% chance of rain at 7 pm, temps in the mid-70s, 8 mph wind.  Toward the end of the game, rain probability increases to 90% and the temps will drop into the mid-60s.

We'll get a better idea of what might actually happen in the am.

KMKC (KC Airport) has no rain in the forecast at all:

KMKC 092320Z 1000/1024 20012KT P6SM BKN150
FM100200 20014KT P6SM BKN150 WS020/21045KT
FM101200 27006KT P6SM BKN120

I believe this forecast ends at 7pm, so it supports the idea that rain doesn't start until after that.

When possible, I always try to look at local meteorologists rather than weather data sites. Local just seem to be more reliable to me. Plus the weather sites often contradict each other. For example, Accuweather’s forecast is very different than Weather Underground:

Aviation forecasts in this format are in GMT, so it doesn't include game time.

The current aviation forecast for the game time period calls for rain and a chance of a thunderstorm.

Just watched all 3 big TV network weather forecasts from KC.

It sounds like around 9pm the weather is going to move in and by midnight it will be very rainy and stormy.

So it's just a question of when it gets there and/or if it can hold off until after the game.

Sounds like it will arrive around halftime.

First half weather will be fine; second half and 4th quarter in particular weather will be bad.

That's my guess.

Well hopefully Chiefs defer or we elect to recieve. Game starts 8:20 Eastern so i assume this weather is Central time so it will get there around 10 our time...

Weather looks like it's slowly getting pushed later and later as time goes on...

If everyone at the stadium can look the storms direction and blow real hard maybe we can slow it even further.

I've unsuccessfully used that last statement with my wife before.

Low wind is good.  They’ve all played in rain, and I’m even more focused on seeing a heavy dose of Moss as both have fumbled, but motor seems a little more prone.  We can’t afford turnovers.  CEH has been known to lose them too.

No one can

You're getting your wish. I'm not sure it's a good thing though because it will even the playing field for the KC defense.

They need to worry about stopping a lot more than the passing game. In any event, the rain doesn’t seem to stop the Bills passing game.

I am most worried about a long lightening delay. Looks to me like KC might not catch the brunt of it, but it is shaping to be a pretty massive storm system down here a little more south.  I am afraid i may fall asleep dyring a commercial with no delays.

I’m hoping for rain

I don't want any of this storm.

I want to face KC 1 on 1 and see if we've closed the gap to them this year or not.

Yes, all times are obviously local, meaning central.

Game starts earlier, which is why 9pm is close to half-time.

The relevant factor is when the weather hits (or misses) relative to game time.  Right?
