BITE ME Posted January 15, 2021 Share Posted January 15, 2021 (edited) Just heard from a reliable source (Pats season ticket holder) the Patriots are in talks to get Jimmy Garoppolo for next year. Interesting, wonder if it is because they like him or because they want to keep him from the Jets. Apparently Teddy Bruschi starting pushing this and the Patriots are now looking to make the move. As someone pointed out, this could be something they are telling season ticket holders just to get them to buy season tickets for 2021. I think it has less to do with being a season ticket holder and more to do with his dad's work with the Kraft Group's container business but maybe that is what they are telling season ticket holders to keep them buying tickets. Nick Mullens, CJ Beathard, whoever they draft, whoever they add in FA, or Josh Rosen (who I believe is on their roster now). They seem to be a defense and running game dominant team, so they can be successful with average QB play. It got them to the Super Bowl last year. Jimmy G wasn't slinging it around too much. When they get healthy, they can win with one of the QB options listed. Of course, even if they get healthy, their defense could drop off with Saleh's departure. I also saw that Watson could be traded to the Niners for Jimmy G and some players/picks. Fairly certain it was just speculation but that could be interesting.
