Matt_In_NH
I would not have wanted him as the QB for my team but I always thought he got a bad rap....he had some injury issues that stunted his growth in Miami. He has found a great situation in Tennessee for his skill set

Livinginthepast
He wasnt touched by us except on the roughing the passer call. That was also coincidentally his worst throw of the night. He had all kinds of time to throw against a poor pass rush and slow and easily fooled defensive secondary riddled with injuries. He has done well since he got to Tennessee but lets not go overboard here. We made it as easy as possible for him to look like he was HOF last night! Which is to say he's excellent in what he does (play action football, accurate when clean, where he can show off a strong, accurate arm, plus athlete so a threat to run), and is now smart enough to know what situations to avoid. You wouldn't ask him to carry the offense like they did in Miami, but you give him a pretty good OLine and strong running game, he can get you a SB. A way better version of Trent Dilfer. He's blasted right past Trent Dilfer and straight into Rich Gannon territory as far as late bloomers go.

DallasBillsFan1
Say what you want about Tannehill, but he has been playing very good/efficient football in 2019 and 2020. Titans were in AFC Championship last year yes? Tannehill was threading the needle last night and tore Bills apart. Give him some credit. I love my Bills but he and team torched us. Buffalo looked small out there.

BigDingus
Yes, he's pretty good. Better than some other QB's that won Super Bowls off the backs of their defense & run game. So, yes. He's got enough talent & skill, along with enough proficiency in the system he's in right now to play above his weight class. "Pretty good," is right on point. CEN-CAL17
Tannehill has always folded under pressure. If you hit him or get in his face his ability goes down. The last 2 years we’ve got after him. Last night not so much. Not at all really.
MYSHIFTKEYISBROKE
Ping me when he puts up more than 70 yards in a playoff win. He's nowhere near the dumpster fire he was in Miami, but he's still just a game manager. Put him in a place where he's gotta chuck it like a real 2020 QB, he fails and they get their barn doors blown off.

Doc Brown
He's very good. He's pry in that six to ten range of top QB's. He benefits from some good weapons, a great running back, and a good offensive line. Something he never had all at once in Miami.

SirAndrew
I agree with the people saying he’s a mid level QB. Those guys can be quite good these days. Factor in the reality that our defense can make anyone look good right now, and that’s about it.
Golden*Wheels
Well I'd still like to face him with out entire starting D, but the scariest part is that RYAN TANNEHILL did that to us. BigdaddyinOrlando
May have been said before in this thread as I have read it all, but I think this shows more to how bad Gase is with quarterbacks and offense in general than a true reflection to the quarterback himself

Orlando Tim
I think it also shows all QBs are "system" QBs. Vrabel has done a good job of tailoring his skills to his requirements. Few QBs can run multiple offensive styles well.
Ramza86
He fits the Titans. Very nicely. We learned from the dolphins he cant carry a team. Will never be elite. Put him in the right fit and he will make it work.
dlonce
I’m actually one of the few people who wanted the Bills to move up a little and draft Tannehill. He has talent. Bleeding Bills Blue
He's a good quarterback. 1 - Athletic 2 - Good pre-snap understanding 3 - Very accurate 4 - Throws a good deep ball 5 - Quick release His struggles 1 - Pressure, he tends to drop his eyes 2 - Post-snap reads aren't as fast as they need to be 3 - Can fade in the pocket when he needs to step up For what they're asking of him - its accurate quick throws to make sure they are in makeable 3rd's and continue to move down the field. From a pre-snap perspective he is to take shots when they are there, and has a weapon in AJ brown who's good for what they need. This is all in his wheel house. C.Biscuit97
He’s Alex Smith and if I can bet on him winning a SB, I’d bet my house. If the Titans get a real elite qb though, they are a real problem. Great coaching on that team with Some really good talent. the Titans still are a generic team that you Create on Madden though. No one cares about them and their stupid uniforms.
HardyBoy
I haven't read this whole thread at all, not even one post, but heading into his third or fourth season, and he was primed for a breakout year...then tore his acl in the preseason, because it was already partially torn and he opted against surgery...didn't want someone beating the bills, but I had a lot of dolphin friends and am not rooting against them, just that the bills would beat them (I'm not going to kick mediocre teams while they're down, give me fun competition!). I was living in South Florida his entire career, so was following him pretty closely...dude was on the verge of breaking out that year and had a lost season because he chose to rehab instead of have a lost off season basically, which I'm not one to judge that choice, Bruce made a similar choice I believe. I'm not surprised he's playing like this, it's what I was expecting him to do the second to last season in Miami...that said, I'd much rather have Allen.

DCofNC
I thought he was a classic example of a scape goat for a ***** regime in Miami. He was always pretty good, but never supported. I was surprised when they gave up on him and it surprised when he took Marriota’s spot and did well. The contract seemed a bit much, but it’s hard to find a QB and he looks the part again, so they were “right” to give it to him.

WideNine
Sure he's pretty good... against our zero-pressure front and practice squad secondary. He did hold the ball a bit long, but I think he was just overloaded trying to pick out the most open receiving option out of all the ones available to him. There. I admitted it. Yes Tannehill had talent and would've done even better with a strong coaching staff to start. We didn't have that staff when he came out, so we shouldn't have drafted him, or any other QB that year, honestly. Also, he's not close to JA. I'm more than happy with Allen. He's going to show us why every team in the league wishes they traded to #1 and drafted him that year.
