I can't wait until next year when Buffalo goes 13-3, is the number one seed in the AFC for the playoffs and they have two representatives named to the pro bowl when announcements are made just before Christmas.

Phillips is going to finsh the season with about 12 sacks at DT and not be in the pro bowl its a joke

I am very happy for Tre and don't want to take away from him.

But yes, it's become a popularity contest and is more about "I've Heard of Him"

Hopefully Jordan Phillips takes out his frustrations on Brady

Aren’t the selections determined by the fans? Save the outrage. This game is a joke. I’m happy for Tre, he probably gets a bonus and can “use” the selection at contract time.

I love football, I watch way too many games, I can’t remember the last time I watched the Pro Bowl.

There is a fan vote but as I understand it that’s a small part of the outcome

The Pro Bowl doesn't really matter, so not worth getting too upset. But like Gunner said, I honestly don't think it's all that wrong that Buffalo only had one pro bowler. You could make a case for some other guys (particularly Brown in my opinion), but this is more of a team of solid players rather than a bunch of great players carrying the team.

I'm really curious about the underlying numbers for Phillips. Obviously the sack numbers are great, but for example, he's not among the best DTs in terms of pass-rush win rate (which, ironically, Oliver is), and PFF rates him very low. PFF probably rates him far too low, but they don't just make the stuff up; I'd be really curious why they think so little of his play.

Totally a guess on my part, but I'm kinda wondering if Phillips' sacks are mainly seen as coverage sacks or plays where we get pressure off the edge that forces the QB to step up into Phillips rather than Phillips breaking through to the QB himself.

Edit: Not the complete answer I was looking for, but I saw a tweet from this morning that Phillips has 22 pressures this season; that's probably not even top 5 on the Bills. I know Hughes was past that a month ago and 3 or 4 others were right around there too.

It could be my extreme dislike for the guy, but Marcus Peters made the pro bowl?? Someone is going to need to explain that one to me. He was seen as expendable by the rams yet somehow gets picked. Yes I know he has at least 1 pick six, but he gets burned frequently on double moves. What a joke.

He's been awesome this year. Could probably make a case for a different corner to be in his place, but he isn't a bad choice by any means (like Pouncey for example).

Congrats to Our guy Tre! Well deserved stud!

But I’m disgusting that we have only 1 player. A team like Baltimore has 12 and we should’ve of beat them if not for a few mistakes. Hope this fuels the team even more for this weekend and the playoffs!

Bills are snubbed again. Our D is number 2, and maybe the best the Bills have ever had. We have a DT with 9.5 sacks! Our safeties are excellent. Our mike linebacker is a tree who runs a 4.5. Wow. Whoever votes must only be able to read headlines or watch clips the NFL filters to them. Small market teams that kick butt just dont get their fair shake.

Congrats to Tre, but we should have sent more.

So they are on Sunday night football 4 times per year?

Sorry, I misspoke.  They have been on primetime night football 38 times since the Bills last appearance on SNF.  But yes, they do average 4 primetime night games a year, and actually  this was their 6th appearance in primetime this season.

Well, I usually don’t let the lack of respect bother me. This feels a little different because a lot of guys have a lot to lose from this. Jordan Phillips should be there. Tremaine Edmunds should be in. John Brown should be a first alternate as well. Dion Dawkins and the safeties should have been considered. The Bills are 10-4 and have arguably the best defense in the league. On principle alone they should have sent about 4 guys. You shouldn’t have a team that finished 2 games ahead of them sending 12 guys. You shouldn’t have had bad teams sending 3. The Bills roster has always been underrated but they should have earned the respect this year. There should have been a minimum of 3 defensive players and then a handful of other guys that could have gone.

If I say I care, I'm a hypocrite, because I have zero interest in the Pro Bowl. That said, it is ludicrous that the 2nd ranked D in the conference has only one representative.

Yahoo gets it

Where are the Bills?

The Buffalo Bills finally worked their way into the national consciousness when they steamrolled the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. But it wasn’t enough to garner Pro Bowl love as cornerback Tre'Davious White was the only player honored from a 10-4 team that sports the league’s No. 3 defense.

White was a no-brainer as arguably the best cornerback in the league not named Stephon Gilmore. But surely other players from Buffalo’s elite defense deserved some attention. Inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds with his 105 tackles, 1.5 sacks and nine pass deflections while anchoring Buffalo’s defense comes to mind.

Josh Allen is the third alternate for the Pro Bowl... who is first and second?

3 spots in the Pro Bowl:

1) Lamar Jackson

2) Pat Mahomes

3) Deshaun Watson

Obviously, I would love if Josh couldnʻt play because of being in the Super Bowl but if the Ravens, Chiefs or Texans make it, that would open one spot. If Lamar wins the MVP and the Ravens are not in the Super Bowl I could see him bailing out, which would leave another open spot.

Question is... who is in front of Josh?!?!?!?!

I would guess Brady is the 1st alternate, though totally not deserving of it.

The 2nd would have to be Brissett, or maybe even Tannehill. Both of which should be well behind Allen.

Brady won't go to the Pro Bowl, but whichever scrub is the 2nd alternate surely will. It'll take an injury to get Josh in, which is total BS.
