Process
That game where he shows he is able to light up a defense with his arm? Where it looks like he can be a true franchise QB? Where he shows that even though he will make mistakes as young qb, he is capable of going up against a guy like Rodgers or Brees or Mahomes and keep up with them in a shootout? I'm talking about a game with 300+ yards and 3+ TDs.... Right now wins are all that matters. But I do care and I do want to see it, because to be able to compete in the playoffs we are going to need a QB that can win and take over a game with his arm. Baker Mayfield had a 4TD game last year and has had several games with 300+ passing yards Daniel Jones had 300+ yards in his first career start Kyle Murray, a rookie on one of the worst teams in the NFL, has 3 300+ yard games in the first half of the year Lamar Jackson went for 300+ and 5TDs against the Dolphins Most thought this would be the week but it wasn't, so when? Next week is an even better opportunity. The Eagles have the worst secondary in the NFL, they get lit up every single week. They also have one of the best run defenses, which should force us to throw the ball. If Allen can't put up numbers against them it's hard to see when it will happen.

Hurricane
Still, watching Allen is a lot better than the crap we have had at the position over the last 20 years or so... We're 5-1... All i am worried about is winning next sunday...
Big Turk
No i don't need him to. Just figure out ways to do enough to win. He simply is a winner. And that is enough for me.

billsfan714
i know you will get a million posts saying as long as we win it doesn't matter. IMHO i need to see a 300 3td game this year. Just to show me he can do it. We have had a pretty cupcake schedule. There is going to be a game where you going to have to put up points to win, unless you have a defense like Dilfer did with the Ravens. Seems the one constant outside of the glory years with the exception of a year or two with Bledsoe has been a sub par offense. This team wants to go the next level the offense is going to have to get much better, especially when going against the better teams.
Augie
Just keep winning. That’s all I care about. Make progress and I’m good. I think the first 3 quarters were all about setting up another 4th quarter comeback! ?

Rico
I'd like to see it, but I don't really care, not right now. I remember when Big Ben came into the league & won a lot of games for a rock-solid Steelers team without coming close to lighting anything up. So far at similar points in their career, I would say Josh has shown better intangibles when it comes to being a winner. 7

Tatonka68
What is Allen Win/loss record? What was Tyrod's, Fitz or anyone elses win/record? The dude has barely played a year in the league give some slack. Does he have room for improvement, YES. So why don't you give him a chance?

Another Fan
Actually last years final game against the Dolphins might have been that game. Imo fans here loved him here all off season as that was the last image of him all offseason. I've always been in the middle on Josh from when he got drafted. Didn't love or hate the pick, it was more like time will tell if this is a good move or not. I still remain in the middle with him. He hasn't done anything so far this year to really impress me but he's 5-1 and today had no turnovers. But I mean so be it the defense does it's thing and we keep winning that's the main thing with me Edited October 21, 2019 by Another Fan
Kangaxx
He had that game vs the dolphins last season. 5 TDs. Needs to work on the deep ball. I think he'll be fine.
stevestojan
Trent Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring. If our defense stays this strong (and yes I think they took today off and still won the game) I couldn’t give a flying ***** if Josh never throws for 300 yards. Brianmoorman4jesus
Just win the games. I don’t care what it looks like and I don’t care what the stats are. Just beat the Eagles and go from there. Usually a lot of passing yards come in games where you are losing or the other team is scoring a lot. Not interested in that Edited October 21, 2019 by Brianmoorman4jesus 2

Bangarang
I care. I want to see him have monster games. I want to be one of the best teams in the league making runs in the playoffs led by a great QB. I don’t want him to be Andy Dalton where he’s good enough to win during the regular season but gets slapped around in the playoffs. If we want to talk about how high his ceiling is and how he’s going to be our franchise QB then I’m going to hold him to a high standard. Augie
OK, I’ll be a little more serious. People are in such a hurry. It was about at this time in his career (game-wise) that Mahomes first saw the field. We are seeing Josh increase his completion %, he seems to be getting smarter about Hero-Ball heaves, and he’s ducking a little more often. There are some good signs. Keep making progress, and I’m totally fine. He’s a gamer, that’s for sure!

Do you think the offensive staff really put together a game plan to not maximize the amount of points the offense scores? Both McD and BB have been on record that the offense needs to be able to put up more points if they want to be a successful franchise. I like McD, and have questioned BB on a few roster moves. But one thing I respect and trust is if something is not working, BB will be quick to pull the trigger in finding a new solution. Low scoring is not by design.
