4merper4mer
In one way it is the right thing to do, but I'm worried about the cap hit. And does anyone think he would sign, even for one day, with a team that doesn't have a QB? 1

Brianmoorman4jesus
Would be cooler to sign him to a 1 day contract before the 4th preseason game and let him retire a bill the day after. But actually play again

Forward Progress
Easily my favourite Bill of the past 15 years. One of the most complete RB's to play the game - such a patient runner who could see the holes developing before they opened and perhaps the best pass blocking RB I have seen.

BringBackOrton
Weird that he's "working on it." What kind of contract language do they have to sort out? Never forget Whaley stabbed Freddy in the back in TC in 2015 in favor of Bryce Brown. Freddy probably doesn't retire a Bill if Whaley wasn't canned. SoCal Deek
This must be Richie's thinking as well! There appears to be a land rush on people wanting to retire as a Buffalo Bill.

TigerJ
To answer evanmachlan's question, he knows his playing career is over even though he would have liked to play longer. I think it is great to give him a chance to retire as a Bill. No, he was not one of the all time great running backs in the league, but he was surprisingly good considering where he went to college. He was a great blocker, and though not blessed with elite speed, had amazing vision.
