I tore mine, actually very little pain, just one of the longest recovery times as far as being in a cast for 10 weeks and on crutches. Getting use to using crutches was the most pain, more from an arm muscle standpoint. That was close to 30 years ago, back then was no load bearing for the 10 weeks, now they give people walking boots so that part is much easier and these scooters to use.
