There will be a feeding frenzy on Bills cuts. So Beane gets something instead of just gifting players to the league. Cody Ford, Haack, Crowder….there are many potential players traded because of numbers game what other Bill do you think might get traded? I dont think (m)any trades happen. Other teams know the Bills are loaded with talent and will be cutting several decent players. I get that trading locks the player in as opposed to letting them hit free agency, but I think teams will be willing to take that risk and save their assets.

Keep him cheap and let him go and someone will sign him and it "will count towards" our compensatory picks. Comp picks only count for free agents lost. If they cut him while still on his rookie deal there is no compensatory pick. My guess is no trades. Going into camp I thought they would trade Epenesa but sounds like he is outplaying Lawson for the last DE spot.

FilthyBeast
There are a lot of candidates for trade bait on this roster right now, some more valuable than others. So I won't be surprised if Beane tries making a move to land a veteran DB or stock on draft picks for next year.

He has 2 years left on his deal. We play a system that doesn’t require great corners. We have Tre, elam, Benford and Neal. Cam Lewis has played well. If McB thinks highly of Lewis, Benford and Neal, I don’t see why they wouldn’t at least entertain the thought of trading him….. for the right price. If someone came knocking with a 4th rd pick, I wouldn’t be shocked. again… highly doubtful. He’s a decent player but he isn’t that good where they may prefer trading him and getting picks as opposed to cutting Lewis and getting nothing. Jmo Disagree completely on Dane. He's obviously better than "decent", to earn a non-dress status for preseason game 1. I'm hoping Tre is ready week 1 just as much as everyone else, but we aren't trading the 1 player who has been in the system for 2 years (Dane)...and rolling with 2 rookies against the defending SB Champs. Benford is a great find, but I think he's going to be a weekly inactive (once Tre is healthy).

Ya Digg?
Let me preface this by saying I don’t agree with this, but I was talking with my brother the other day and he brought up a really interesting point-in terms of trade value, McKenzie would probably get the most in return. They could roll with Crowder to begin the year, and if Shakir continues to develop maybe he is the starter by the end of the year. I really like McKenzie, he loves Buffalo, Josh loves him, I don’t believe he would be traded, but he’s definitely an interesting name to bring up

Victory Formation
What can the Bills get for Zack Moss? Is a 3rd within the realm of possibility? The way I’m seeing it is that Singletary is a stud and this James Cook kid is going to be a lot like his brother. And I see that this Blackshear kid may be a diamond in the rough.. Ideally I think that a 3rd would be appropriate for Moss, but maybe a 4th from a bad team.. anything less than that and I walk away. He’s a good player though so I think proper compensation is appropriate.

Sierra Foothills
After a little research here are the preseason trades Beane has made as Bills GM (surplus trade aways in bold): July 26, 2017: Traded quarterback Cardale Jones to the San Diego Chargers for a 2018 conditional seventh-round pick. Aug. 11, 2017: Acquired CB E.J. Gaines and a 2018 second-round pick (later traded to Tampa Bay Buccaneers) from the Los Angeles Rams for WR Sammy Watkins and a 2018 sixth-round pick. Aug. 11, 2017: Acquired WR Jordan Matthews and a 2018 third-round pick from the Philadelphia Eagles (No. 96, used to select Harrison Phillips) for CB Ronald Darby. Aug. 28, 2017: Traded LB Reggie Ragland to the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2019 fourth-round pick. Sept. 2, 2017: Acquired WR Kealin Clay and a 2019 seventh-round pick from the Carolina Panthers for CB Kevon Seymour. Aug. 5, 2018: Acquired WR Corey Coleman from the Cleveland Browns for a 2020 seventh-round draft pick. Sept. 1, 2018: Traded QB AJ McCarron to the Oakland Raiders for a 2019 fifth-round draft pick. Sept. 25, 2018: Traded T Marshall Newhouse to the Carolina Panthers for a 2021 conditional seventh-round draft pick. Aug. 29, 2019: Traded OL Wyatt Teller and a seventh-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for a fifth-round pick (used later in the Stefon Diggs trade) and a sixth-round pick (No. 188, used to select K Tyler Bass). Aug. 30, 2019: Traded OL Russell Bodine to the New England Patriots for a sixth-round pick. Aug. 30, 2021 Traded DE Darryl Johnson to the Carolina Panthers for a sixth-round pick. Between Beane's history and the current roster depth it seems that up to 2 trade aways are possible and that 1 is likely.
