Inigo Montoya
The Pat's message board is self destructing right now over Bill drafting Cole Strange, an offensive guard, with their 1st round pick. There is a video link of Sean McVay watching the pick live while he is being interviewed and then absolutely nuking the pick. McVay starts laughing out loud and says they wasted a lot of time looking at Strange thinking he'd be there at pick 104. It's rare to see an NFL coach bomb another coach One of the best comments directed towards Bill from the thread was; "Your defense didn’t force a got damn punt the last two games vs Buffalo, moron." It's so nice to see the worst fanbase in the NFL getting what they deserve. 😃 https://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/threads/cole-strange-wtf.1158338/ Edited April 29, 2022 by Inigo Montoya 7 17

BuffaloBillsGospel
Those types of picks were fine when you had the best QB on the planet bailing you out, He could end up being a great guard but you had a solid player in Shaq Mason and if he ends up being great then it's just a wash. Great for us though!

Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD
The Patriots have had a higher success rate drafting offensive lineman than any other position (they can't draft a good wr to save their lives). Rc2catch
I wouldn’t laugh too much because of his projected draft slot. New England tends to churn out some really great offensive linemen. They may not always perform outside New England when they get their second contracts, but they still coach these guys up pretty good while they’re there. But it is fun to see their fan base melting down

Can't invoke Aaron Maybin when criticizing a LATE 1st round reach who could very well end up being a SOLID player. Does anyone else remember how puzzling the Logan Mankins reach was? People reacted similarly to that pick. Very similar vibes here. Terrible relative draft value, but mitigated by real world results (in the case of Mankins; we'll see about Strange). Maybin was both a reach AND a bust. And much higher in the 1st round.
