Dr. K
"Disinterested" means "not prejudiced" or "neutral" in a conflict. "Uninterested" means "I don't care" or "bored" The Chiefs may be uninterested (I doubt it) but they are not disinterested. —Your friendly neighborhood usage cop 1

They may just be significantly better than everyone in the NFL. I actually took some time last night and this morning to look at their last few games. It is pretty obvious they were a very disinterested team. It was almost like a cat toying with a mouse. I worry they may be SIGNIFICANTLY better than everyone left, including the Packers. TallskiWallski83
The Browns have a very real chance of upsetting Kansas City this week if they can keep their ground game going and keep their defense off the field. mjt328
Most people believe the Chiefs are the best team in football, outside of Bills/Packers fans and media personalities trying to get attention. They are not being overlooked. Being one of the few teams that: a) Wrapped up their division and #1 seed many weeks ago b) Sat their starters Week 17, and c) Got a first round bye ... there simply hasn't been much to discuss regarding the Chiefs recently. Personally, I do think the Chiefs are the NFL's best team. But I also think they are quite a bit overrated, and very beatable. There are some who act like Kansas City is already a dynasty, with only one Super Bowl trophy under their belts.
MJS
Who has underestimated them? Everyone agrees they are the best team in the NFL and the team to beat.
Ramza86
They arent playing dominant football as of late. That and new storylines like Lamar and Josh and Aaron have kept this Chiefs team under the radar...its perfect for them.

The dominance by the Chiefs and Mahomes in their 2 games against Bills and Ravens is staggering Mahomes threw for a 610 yards and 6TDs and 0 Interceptions in two games against Bills and Ravens. Jackson and Allen combined for 219 passing yards and 3 TD's and 1 interception in the two games against the Chiefs. I never realized how badly the Chiefs beat the Bills and Ravens. Amaru523
Their starters will basically have had 2 weeks off, I wonder if this will effect them at all negatively? Its one of the reasons I didn't want the Bills to rest anyone week 17, at least not at the beginning of the game, they were hot, didn't want them to cool off AT ALL. buffalo2218
I'm not sure what over/underestimating the Chiefs has to do with anything. Ravens are the focus, not the Chiefs. Unless Frazier had a vanilla gameplan against the Colts, this defense better have their A game
Boatdrinks
Both are correct. Frazier’s gameplan Vs Colts was pure vanilla, and no that won’t get it done vs Ravens. They’re highly specific and require a certain less conventional defense.
Straight Hucklebuck
I think guys like Cowherd have gone a little overboard ranking the Chiefs 4th in power rankings. Yes they struggled in Atlanta, but when they had to have it, they went right down the field. The Bills and Chiefs have a near equivalent defense in yards, rush, pass, sacks and points. And the Chiefs don’t have or employ a dominant run game. But it’s Mahomes, Hill and Kelce with Reid calling plays. Can you stop them? And so far we’re 3 seasons in, and the answer is no you can’t. Rico
Chiefs are a good team, hardly a great team. Not last year, not this year. I think Bills or Ravens will beat them, and I’m betting on the team with Josh ***** Allen.

Chicken Boo
Yes. Yes they are. Call_Of_Ktulu
If we had a running game that could help out this offense I would feel so much better about our chances. msw2112
I believe the Chiefs will be rusty against the Browns and the first half will be close. In the 2nd half, the Chiefs will be warmed up and will pull away. Until proven otherwise, they are the best team in football. If the Bills play their best game against the Chiefs, they can hang with them and have a chance to win, because the Bills are also an excellent football team. Since the Bills and Chiefs played the first time, the following has happened: 1) Allen has gotten healthy; 2) the Bills have made adjustments on defense and are playing much better (not lights out, but better, as they had been terrible). BUT, let's not think about the Chiefs right now. The Bills need to focus on the Ravens, a very difficult challenge. Once again, if the Bills play their best game, they can and should beat the Ravens. If the Bills play a poor game, the Ravens will win. If it is something in between (which is most likely), it will be a hotly contested game that goes down to the wire and will likely be decided by a single big play - a turnover, a replay call, a last second FG try, etc.

Scott7975
Yes, I am underestimating them. For sure they are an elite team. I just don't think they are as dominant as they were last season. They don't seem as scary. That doesn't mean I am 100% confident we would beat them if we get there... more like I am not confident its a sure loss either. The team is beatable. While they are still beating most teams they face, they are sloppy and making mistakes. They start slow. Eventually that can and will bite them. This year? Maybe. We were inches away from having the ball with under 5 minutes left with a chance to take the lead on Zimmers strip of Helaires when we were down 23-17. They ended up getting a fg on that drive to put them up 2 scores with under 2 minutes left. We literally gave them the run. It was almost as if the coaching staff didn’t have enough confidence in our offense. Maybe it was because of the rain and terrible conditions? While we lost, it was probably the right move as our offense couldn’t really ever get it going. We had a chance at the end. We just couldn’t get off the field. Or were they simply on their version of 'cruise control' the last 2 months and will turn it on when they need to?

ColoradoBills
Super Bowl Champions played well enough to lock the 1st seed. That's all they needed to do for the regular season.
