EmotionallyUnstable
hmmmm. Seems like states/cities keep rolling out these guidelines and restrictions and yet, the NFL still finds a way to sneak by. I can't help but think there will be a clause or something done to allow these games to be played (even if they're moved to a temp location). We shall see! They probably still have the baseball field configuration in that dump of a stadium. If they want to keep it on the west coast LA or LV would be the top choices. Otherwise the backup stadium is Detroit, since there hasn't been NFL football home team there in years but the field is ready to go.

I mean the 49ers have to practice somewhere first of all, if they find a place that can have an NFL game(have the right set up for video equipment) then it'll probably be there. With it being on Monday, it provides the option of using a different nfl stadium. NFL will probably push for LA for more exposure of that stadium

I agree that they probably won't move it to Buffalo...but there is a precedent for having an extra home game. Post-Katrina the Saints played a "home" game against the Giants at Giants Stadium...and the Giants ended up playing an extra game at home.

The Giants got an extra home game when they played the Saints post Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Tagliabue’s reasoning for this was “9/11”. Yeah he may actually have been a worse commissioner than Goodell if that is possible.

While I agree with you that it won't happen, it wouldn't be unprecedented. A MNF game between the Giants and Saints was moved from New Orleans to the Meadowlands in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. So the Giants got 9 home games that season. Edited November 28, 2020 by holla83

bills6969
Seems a bit overkill. No fans in stands and everyone who will be in the stadium is tested on a daily basis. Pretty sure the COVID outbreaks that happen on teams are contracted outside of team activities.
