GerstAusGosheim
My 8yo son is a huge Bills / NFL fan, and recently has been obsessed with the cornerback position. For Christmas (never too early to start a list lol), he wants a custom jersey of the "best Bills cornerback of all time." Who you got? DapperCam
I think Tre White is the only Bills CB to be a first team All Pro. Â Byrd had impressive accolades as well, but most people would probably think it was a Jarius Byrd jersey (who was also a great DB for the Bills before his injuries). Punching Bag
Winfield could not only defend but intercept and tackle. The tackling part you cannot seem to teach anymore with NFLPA rules.
Bleeding Bills Blue
Clements was a great player - great ball skills. Winfield didn't have the ball skills but he tackled like a bull. McGee had a long bills career.   Only one of the ones listed ever got DPOY votes, and has the most pro bowls - and thats tre white. Looks like his bills career might be getting cut a bit short due to injuries unfortunately.   The rest were mostly before my time.  Edited October 31, 2023 by Bleeding Bills Blue

The Jokeman
I never saw him play but Butch Byrd seemed to be a do everything CB. In terms of my time watching, I think Nate Clements was the most complete. 1 minute ago, Limeaid said: Winfield could not only defend but intercept and tackle. The tackling part you cannot seem to teach anymore with NFLPA rules. dave mcbride
Surprised Mario Clark isn't on the list. He was their top corner on a couple of great defenses (1980 and 1981) and had 25 INTs for the Bills between 1976 and 1981. But Butch Byrd is the obvious choice here, although James was very good too (but a short career). Sestak4ever
Robert James was amazing, unfortunately shortened career due to injury. Based on a full career none come close to Butch Byrd. He had 40 career interceptions, was a tremendous punt returner, and basically won one of our AFL championships against the Chargers by returning a punt for a touchdown and intercepting John Hadl to seal the victory. I know that was a long time ago, but he was the best! 7 2 2

Maine-iac
Have to go with Odomes. What a ball hawk and cover guy. I think White might be the best if injuries weren't derailing things. A lot of good careers but best in Buffalo I'm going with Odomes.

thenorthremembers
Byrd had the best ball skills and its not incredibly close. It's a lot harder to say with Byrd and Edgerson as overall players because they werent actively keeping tackle and sack stats back then.  Outside of those two my list would be:  Nate Odomes Tre'Davious White Nate Clements Antoine Winfield Terrence McGee Stephon Gilmore  Personally feel like Winfield really made his name as a Viking.  21 of his 27 career interceptions came as part of the Vikings.  Also feel like Stephon GIlmore was grossly over rated as a Bill.  Ball skills were good, but never felt like he added anything much in the run game.   Tre had a good shot to be the best but injuries have destroyed his career especially the last three years. Likely he has played his last down for us. Tommy Shelby
Not an all-timer and should not be on the list. But I have wondered how good Derrick Burroughs could have been if he wasn't injured so early in his career. From my recollection his abilities were just starting to come into focus before his neck injury.
Charles Romes
Derrick Burroughs was rapidly ascending to lockdown stature before his career ending injury in 1989. If he stayed healthy Bills could have picked a first round NT in 1990 instead of JD Williams.
