I believe it ended with aggrieved parties agreeing to settle their punctuation differences with a spearing contest at the 50 yard line of Ohio Stadium. I'm guessing Yolo did not prevail. I was more sanguine about the pick, one of the few actually who was happy with it at the time. I remember chatting with you before the draft. If your scenario had played out, of course, it would have been a disaster. I agree on Daniel Jones. I am a natural melancholic. The state of the world, my Church (I am Catholic), any number of factors often make it seem rather trivial to be so concerned with the Buffalo Bills, but then again, it is often a welcome distraction and this site has quite a few very well-informed posters that make it worthwhile. For some reason, people here think that disliking the Josh pick was a stupid call at the time, because he has turned into what he is now. It doesn't work that way. I HATED the pick and we are all really, really lucky that Josh has turned into a one-in-a-million success story. Initially hating the pick could have meant anything..........it was certainly not proof that you were a rational thinker. It's a QB driven league.........it was a very rational decision to take a swing at the player with the highest upside. As I said at the time.......Allen would have been the #1 overall pick in more drafts than not in the 2000's just based on his skillset and what is typically available at QB..........so at #7 he was a worthwhile risk. The attitude around here at the time was very much like it is around the Jets fandom now..........."if we just had a competent QB everything would fall into place"...........well, it turns out it takes more than that from the position and most fans don't realize that until they actually have a team in SB contention. The reality is that a team should have a draft process and they should adhere to it..........that is rational thinking.
