Really hope the awning doesn't create shadows on the field(pics from Tottenham show a lot of shadows) There's nothing worse than watching sports with half the field dark and the other half washed out.

That's really an effect from older cameras with crappy dynamic range. And yeah, that does suck. But it's a problem that's been fixed.

Not a single folding table smash or fire in the exterior rendering - this is a fail for the marketing team.  They also forgot the obligatory Josh Allen leap over the stadium shot.  Here's a quick updated version before the SEQR meeting tonight.

No red endzones, fail!

In all seriousness, I like it.  I wish the capacity was a bit larger (more screaming fans = louder game day experience).  The bills usually sell out so the decision to reduce capacity is a bit curious.

I wonder if the architects and engineers will build in some sort of "advantage" to maximize crowd noise like in Seattle, or orient the stadium relative to the lake to maximize wind swirl, etc.

Finally, I hope they figure out a way to honor Ralph in some way.

When you factor in market size, cost of tickets, as well as PSL fees the capacity of around 60,000 is a good number.

Good point. Shadows are super annoying.

It may not be as bad as it used to be but it's still an issue. I've changed a few games this season because of shadows. It's very annoying.

Since the new stadium deal was announced, inflation has increased substantially.

I presume this has resulted in a substantial increase in the projected cost of the stadium.

I wonder if that was one of the reasons for the delay in the renderings and why it is now 65% of the seats covered as opposed to a larger number.

I’m generally curious how big those Buffalos outside the stadium are going to be. From the renderings they look about 30 feet tall

They said on WGR that the largest statue of a buffalo/bison in the world is in Jamestown, North Dakota and is 26ft tall.  I'm sure the Bills will want to break that record.

I feel like I saw that 65% number before the information released today.

Which 30 feet would break that record.

Eff it shatter that record. Make them 50 feet tall.

I don’t know if it will create huge shadows, because the awnings look quite small in the rendering. I’m not knowledgeable about engineering, so maybe someone can enlighten me, but I don’t understand the point of the awnings. They look like they won’t cover many fans. Is the awning supposed to reduce winds? I’d think the stadium itself could be constructed to limit winds.

40,000 of the attendees are covered in that rendering?

Yeah, not really getting that vibe, either.  If true I would imagine someone has drawn a better angle.

300 level, you guys are golden, though.

Exactly,  the upper deck you're going to be protected.  But as you get closer to the field is when you will get exposed. Pretty nice architecture but the canopy could've been extended more. It will reduce wind.
