  1. Coach should get some credit for snatching the AFCE from the Fins with the wins down the stretch.
  2. You’re right. I don’t deserve chicken dinner. I was just toying with the idea of getting into top 10 back in January. Now I’m intrigued about how to get into 10-20 range to get either Verse or Latu for some must needed rush on Mahomey. With the haircut for Knox it seems Bills wanna keep him, but his contract now is more attractive to package to move up. Maybe Shakir, Shorter or Isabella, and Knox, to move up to get a difference maker on D. With that, I win the chicken dinner.
  3. Good points Bdb. Who’s more like the Goat with prep, study, dedication, execution and situational decision making — Mahomey or JA17?
  4. Doubt there’s a correlation between his offseason and WR drops and route running and speed and contested catches.
  5. As we stand today, no, because we got Samuel now. I don’t think those two are seen as JAGS. At 28, I don’t think we should go WR. I would like to see us move up for Turner, Verse or Latu. Get a WR in round 2. BTW, do I still win a chicken dinner?
  6. No way old man. At 28, Roger will step to the mic and say the Buffalo Bills have selected Troy Franklin, WR, University of Oregon.
  7. And not much thread left on those tires and he’s leaking oil and gears are slipping and his shocks are shot, but don’t get in his way if you’re under 220 lbs.
  8. If any of the top WRs are there at 20-27, Beane better make a move. The 20-27 teams (Steelers, Fins, Eagles, Tex, Boys, Pack, Bucs, Cards) have other needs and might be willing to fall back to 28 for a 4th. Gotta get a Metcalf type.
  9. I believe this coach can get us there. I’m sure that coaches for SF (taking ball in OT), BLT, HOU, MIA, etc. etc. were criticized for mistakes in the big games since they were losers. KC coach stepped into off-season with all the glory and no criticism. It happens every year with the guy holding the Lombardi hardware.
  10. Book her for half-time shows every week!
  11. I do credit front office for getting some players during the year to help us win the division. Did KC or any team lose the likes of Milano, Von and Tre?? Even with those losses, we were just a couple plays from beating KC, and would’ve won the next two.
  12. I’m not talking about yelling on sidelines. Several of those SB QBs were not yellers, but they set the tone for their teams, along with their coaches. Jim Kelly did some yelling on sidelines but his leadership was strongest during the week. Again, the coach and QB have to set the standard. It doesn’t happen on every team, but you don’t get the Lombardi with leaders who don’t engage.
  13. Agree Julian but in football, if you got a mentally strong coach and QB, then you gotta chance (eg- Brady/Belichick, Montana/Walsh, Bradshaw/Knoll, Starr/Lombardi, McMahon/Ditka, Eli/Coughlin). Most SB winners have this determination with the two main guys. They weren’t trying to win most congeniality. Eli Manning is maybe closest to Josh in temperament, but he had those steely eyes. Now that Josh is becoming one of the older ones on the team, he has to bring some assertive leadership.
  14. Chiefs found a willing partner to trade to 10. McDermott’s ties with Reid might have factored in. Wouldn’t you help a guy who probably put in a good recommendation for you to get HC job? Many other NFL coaches might have passed. In hindsight, I do agree that you don’t make that trade to a powerhouse in your own conference … but did most coaches know what we now know about Mahomey??
  15. Moderators: Can we create a sub forum for fire the coach. It’s worthy of its own sub forum.
  16. If the draft doesn’t go well, next year could be down year and we miss playoffs. However, with our QB and division we’re in, we’ll make playoffs 9 in the next decade. The coach will be our coach for a long time.
  17. Looking at our division, the window will be open for us for a decade. Fins are the only concern.
  18. Probably same thing happened in Minny. Guy is basically a big hearted (loves the kids) and very emotional. Sometimes big hearted people are temperamental. The bromance part is that JA17 is closer to others and that doesn’t sit well with SD14.
  19. Can you do blue helmet with blue charging Buffalo and bold white outline?? Don’t think the red Buffalo is what we want.
  20. I know some blue helmets have been offered but the blue charging Buffalo needs a bold white outline to make it pop. I like the idea of a blue helmet but have yet to see it done right. Just spitballing.
  21. Tom could’ve said “27, I had 3 rings by then.”
  22. Hope van Pran is still there at 60.
  23. Don’t agree with the comparison. Every team game plans to shut down Diggs. Sometimes they do because no one else scares them. Agree that Hill can take it to the house often, but our guy is easier to scheme double team, double zone, because no one else scares them. Shakir was getting a lot of those targets because of the D shift to Diggs. Must get a WR in the draft.
